Strictly objective wise I would say yes and successfully, then invaded into Israeli territory took more than a hundred hostages, and came back. What is happening now is israel expanding this into a much wider issue. Netanyahu was never going to do the prisoner exchange it was political suicide but the pricks political future is still finished ironically all this bloodshed because of one man’s ego and thousands suffered.

You should ask why Afghan Taliban wanted to settle this war through negotiations. Because US had killed so many in war. It takes time and funds to get new fighters. There is a limit to this matter for an entity like Afghan Taliban.
