First JF-17 fighter plane produced in Kamra to roll out this month: CAS
November 7, 2009

BEIJING, Nov 7 (APP): The first state of the art JF-17 Thunder fighter plane produced in Kamra will roll out by the end of this month.

This was stated by Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman, Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Pakistan Air force in an interview on Saturday.

“This will start a new era in Pak-China relationship, and aviation industry”, said CAS while talking to APP. Rao Qamar Suleman is currently here to attend the 60th anniversary of founding of PLAAF.

“Both China as well as PAF are attaching lot of importance to this project”, CAS Rao Qamar said. The JF-17 fighter aircraft will help to replace the existing fleet of PAF comprising F-7, A-5 and all Mirage planes, he said.

which version of the JF-17 will have the griffo radars ????
None, most likely. Grifo S7 was competing against Chinese radars and the Chinese KLJ-7 won. The company that makes Grifo also makes the more advanced Vixen AESA radars, it is believed by some that these will be fitted to later JF-17s.

I hope so this such good news, but it makes me wonder if we have 10 thunders and are producing 1 this year, so where will the rest come from to make a squadron thats suppose to be flying by the end of the year?.

first 50 Thunders with chinese equipment radars avionics weapons and after first batch of 50 aircrafts the rest 100 will com up with advance westren radars and weapons and avionics hope the rada will be an AESA and also aircraft with more hardpoints 9 or 11 and then Block II JF-17 with littel modifications in designe and new engnie instead of rsussian RD-93
