MOSCOW, December 25. /TASS/. The first batch-produced multi-role fifth-generation fighter jet Sukhoi-57 has been delivered to a regiment in the Southern Military District, a source in the defense-industrial complex told TASS on Friday.

"The Aerospace Force has obtained the first batch-produced Sukhoi-57 plane. It was delivered to a regiment in the Southern Military district," the source said, adding that another four such jets would be provided for the Aerospace Force in 2021.

On December 7, the CEO of the corporation Rostec, Sergey Chemezov, said that the first serially manufactured Sukhoi-57 with a first stage engine would be provided for the Russian military by the end of 2020, and the first Sukhoi-57 equipped with the second stage engine would be assembled in 2022. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu told the Defense Ministry’s board meeting that a total of 22 Sukhoi-57 planes would be provided by the end of 2024. Under a contract concluded in 2019 a total of 76 Sukhoi-57s are to be delivered by the end of 2028.

The fifth generation Sukhoi-57 fighter jet is designed for destroying any type of air and surface targets. It has a supersonic cruising speed, intra-fuselage weapons, radar absorbing coating (stealth technology) and the newest set of onboard equipment.

The first batch-produced fighter Sukhoi Su-57 will be used for testing hypersonic air-launched weapons at the flight test center in Akhtubinsk, a source in the defense-industrial complex told TASS on Friday.

"The first serially produced Su-57 was delivered to the Akhtubinsk center at the end of November. It will be used for testing the newest air-launched hypersonic means of attack," the source said.
A number of fundamentally new air-launched attack weapons is being developed by the Tactical Missiles Corporation.
Currently only MiG-31K fighters stationed in the Southern Military District are capable of carrying hypersonic missiles Kinzhal.

Earlier, a source told TASS that the first serial multirole fifth-generation fighter jet Su-57 was delivered to an air regiment in the Southern Military District. Another four such planes will be provided in 2021.

Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu told the Defense Ministry’s board meeting earlier this month that 22 Su-57 jets would be provided for the Russian armed forces by the end of 2024. Under a contract signed in 2019 a total of 76 Su-57 jets are to be supplied by the end of 2028. Starting from 2022 the Su-57 jets will be equipped with second stage engines.

Russians wanted, huge financial.commitmemt no sharing of,technology and su57 has inferior cockpit to even Rafale.

India better off buying more Rafale or f35 in long run and building Amca with Western assistance

Out of date information. Today's su 57 is much different to the one IAF rejected. It will constantly improve with every new batch. 2022 new engine is expected to be in service.

After nuke-sub incident Russia stop sharing info to India. Russians are not fools to give sensitive information to India so that they leak those to west. Such a shameful act by India to sell her friend secret. When you are selling Rafale information?
