What's new

EU should give a clear promise whether it'll join in US' anti-China alliance or not. So China could decide whether it'll offer aids to Russia

That was pretty obvious. Mutual interests with EU far exceeds mutual interests with Russia.
We are talking about the possibility of US and EU forming an anti-China alliance. All mutual interests you are saying are meaningless once that happens.

China can help turn the war in Russia's favour but it needs to do the following:

1. Give Russia 40-50 J-10Cs so that Russia has total dominance of the air. 4-6 weeks should be enough to train Russian pilots in how to use them and anyway it is so advanced that the Russian pilots just need to put them up in the air and use its AESA radar and PL-15 missile to shoot any Ukrainian plane and drone out of the sky with ease

2. Supply drones and precision guided munitions. Russia needs these for intel and accurate targeting of Ukrainian tanks and armour.

3. Give the Russians around 50 of their PCL-181 SPGs that can fire accurate shells out to 72km. These guns would totally dominate any Western supplied ones that the Ukrainians have been given.

The fact that China has so far not done this is testament that China is not supporting the Russians like the West is supporting the Ukrainians.

Great 3 points...

But I think J-16 would be a better choice since Russian pilots already have experience flying flankers.

China can help much more than that if necessary. The reasons why China hasn't are 1) The war is in Ukraine territory. Russia is not on moral ground anyways. 2)No sign Russia will lose the war yet. 3) China cares European countries feeling.

It'd be best if Russia could end the war without China's help.

True that but like I say what exactly would Russian pilots in J-10Cs need to do to shoot down anything the Ukrainians put up in the air?

Its AESA radar and PL-15 are so advanced that they would just need to target and fire. Nothing else required in terms of dogfighting to get into missile firing positions.

A modern fighter like J-10C is relatively easy to fly and so 4-6 weeks would be more than sufficient for an experienced Russian pilot to even get them all to quite decent levels of competence in carrying out even advanced dogfighting techniques.

I think after 2 days of intense instruction from Chinese instructors then Russian pilots will be able to competently take off, use the radar to a sufficient standard, fire PL-15 missiles and land the plane safely.

Well the USA is willing to arm Taiwan with F-16V... Should not China arm Russia to the teeth as revenge? My view as non-Chinese.

Napoleon and Hitler both failed, and Europe always underestimated Russia's resources, population, and weather. The war of attrition with Russia has always failed.Of course, today's European leaders have no comparison with Napoleon.

If only USA gets involved, it would be an easy choice for China. Unfortunately the reality is much complex.

I prefer russia and NATO start nuke each other,no more children's paly,it's getting boring. The point is taiwan is a pawn of USA,russia isn't a pawn of China,we may sell russia weapons for certain big interest exchange otherwise we are not gonna risk our economy for the sake of russia.

China should send advanced weapons to Russia just like the US have been sending weapons to Ukraine. By doing that, the only outcome is Russia will win the war.

China can only provide an economic lifeline to Russia. Militarily, at the very most China can only send equipment (even so I doubt it) but definitely not their troops to participate in the war, which isn't very helpful. It's not like the Russians are struggling because they lack equipment or key military technology that China can realistically make a difference.

Ukraine is an European war. Chinese should stay away. However communist China is in dilemma. Xi Jingping is under pressure from all sides to join the war. There are voices from Russia, voices from domestic nationalists. They want blood. They want to tap chinese war manufacturing, men resources, forex reserves.

I find it strange.

Now the exchange rate of the Russian ruble is higher than before the war, and the euro has repeatedly hit new lows. Because of the soaring energy prices, Russia's government revenue and residents' income are increasing significantly. Europe has lost the bargaining power of energy, and more than 20 EU countries have opened ruble accounts in Russia.

In this case, why do you think Russia is the loser?

The war was a harvest of EU capital by Britain and USA. USA and Britain have received most of the EU's capital flight. Russia seized the bargaining power of energy. China has obtained the Russian market and some EU capital flight. There's obviously only one loser in this war, OK?

You should consider politics from an economic perspective and military from a political perspective. What is the primary purpose of Russia in launching this war? Control the coastal area of the Azov Sea and raise energy prices. They have achieved these two goals. If Ukraine cannot recover the East, it will be a landlocked country without ports in the future, and even the best agricultural areas have been lost. In the future, this will be another source of refugees to the EU.

Nonsense, I didn't hear any Chinese people want to participate in this war in China.
The Russians don't need Chinese troops either. They just need China not to participate in Western sanctions against Russia, that's enough.

I think China should indirectly support Russia by providing intelligence support to target NATO weapon shipments. Also, China should start exporting armed and EW drones to Russia. NATO will come after China if Russia falls, so now is the time to ensure NATO stays busy in Europe.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to have Chinese observers attached with Russian units (not front line) to gain some experience in combat zones.

The ruble exchange rate is manufactured. By kremlin’s capital control, forced forex sales, forced forex accounts, little to zero floating market interactions. Look at imports figures, Russia imports dramatically shrinking, even imports from China shrinking. Russia runs surpluses thanks to high energy prices. Can’t say Russians are hard working people. Even though one ruble is worth 1.5 US cent just the same level one year ago.
