DRDO's Nag missile fails in user trials

We are making these things by our own....we don't have all the expertise, we are bound to fail. Some one has said

Experience teaches you but only with time and failure.....

Graft has been the the big motivation in Indian defense projects - almost all of which have failed. Indian psychology / attitude is to be blamed for this. They must compulsively / pathologically try and introduce something Bhartai in a perfectly first class foreign eqpt, and in the process bug--r it.

Wow, that analyses is perfectly based on your childhood indoctrination, which is really sad because you also could have become a thinking critical human being. Alas.

Anyways most of our projects have been successful, the more ambitious ones have faced challenges. Failure and success are part when a developing country with no base or experience in high tech tries to develop world class products. When Bangladesh grows beyond textile sweatshops you will know, I mean not YOU personally.

dude first develop a 2nd gen wire guided anti tank missile, then we will invite you for dinner.............tell me which other asain country develops ATGMs with infrared/MMW seekers.........

a question..previous version of Namica was proved to be capable in previous trails.they modified it this time and it failed test????plus,Army was satisfied by the performance of Nag since 2009..even it was about to go into production.what happened suddenly??

Army has revised the performance parameters, DRDO has to meet that. Requirements do not remain static in time.

If you buy a car you dont need to test it...but if you develop a car then you have to go through test and failure phase.....This kind of failure proves that India is developing things rather than buying and painting by others

Was this not the same trials we heard that the missile was able to hit accurately within 2 Km but failed when used for its full range of 4 km?
I think this is a re-packaged news, unless someone with some source can point out..

@Sergi any news?

1.FYI, India has never ever made any indigenous def eqpt. Not even one. Also FYI, we BD are quite ahead in def production. We are self-sufficient in certain items already.

2. In def production national culture, history, attitude, etc matter. Most Muslim nations, eg, Indonesia, Malaysia, BD, Pakistan, Iran, Jordan, S Arabia, Egypt and Turkey have gone ahead in this. Hindustan is experiments with eqpt already used by others - and invariably fails.

to be honest. DRDO is good in assembling parts but has low reputation in innovation. It is a criticism and this should be accepted. We know where is the fault.

Reputation can go drink water, it does not matter.. It only matters when it does not deliver, technology was ignored for too long in this country..

Things have started moving seriously only in the last decade or so, but the GoI needs to be critical..

The concept of 'Sarkari naukri' has to be removed in this innovation based organization, we will see drastic changes.

I am saying this from last 2 years that Nag is failed program
Indian army knew it and so they have already ordered Atgm's from Israel. :enjoy:

when you have a good reputation, foreign inverters comes to buy your product. But when DRDO is itself inefficient in Many Critical SEctors, it is a matter of worry . DRDO should be made observing department to allow technology transfer and working department should be private firms.

Ha ha ha..

Failed user trail ?

In India every public thing is a scam their failure earns them more money than success.

At the end of the day we are going to use these weapons to kick enemy's ***, and the kind of corrupt Govt.s we have It even doesn't seems possible as well. So why give money to these thugs especially for wasting on the inventing some technology in use for last two decades ?

Lage raho, ragar do changi tarah,.............

Foreign investors will come when the product performs, reputation is built on the most superficial element... what secret projects they have completed is ignored or are not known, like SLBMs, Arihant and many others still unknown.. I do not care how their reputation is to me, they fulfill their role s what is required..

This was the most comic comment I had ever seen in this forum, BD is ahead of India in indigenous equipment and innovation, your rag tag 3rd class scientific base and your military had not innovated a single thing after your liberation except new ways of immigration(illegally).

Iran yes, turkey they are good, rest of the list is nothing more than your deviant fantasy.
