Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif, who is on an official visit to Indonesia, Wednesday visited Indonesian Arms and Special Vehicle manufacturing facility (Pindad Corporation).

The COAS was briefed by the top defence officials of Indonesia on their facilities and products. Possibilities of collaboration with Pakistan Ordinance Factory Wah and Heavy Industries Taxila were also discussed. Later, COAS was taken around the facility and shown all types of armored vehicles produced by the factory.

Pakistan and Indonesia have great potential for joint ventures. Pakistan should boost relations with all countries in the neighborhood including Malaysia, Maldives, Burma, Thailand.. We already have good relations with Sri Lanka.

Pakistan Indonesia Malaysia and Turkey should start joint ventures and also establish there factories in each other countries too
 
I think the only thing we are using Indonesian right now is CN 235 aircraft ... I like to hear more collaboration between two brotherly countries
