China reports deeply disturbing coronavirus development

This is a very dangerous trend if it continues, i think we need to perform more longitudinal studies with large samples for more clarity.

Criteria for discharging the quarantined COVID patients is pretty much same around the world- clinical/radiological resolution of signs and more importantly, two negative RT-PCR tests on seperate days.

If these cases are getting re-infected again without any outside contact, we will have to re-evaluate the discharge criteria too..

it's true. once you have the virus, you have it for life, much like the HIV.

there will never be a cure, there will never be a vaccine.

**** USA for making such a nasty bioweapon. **** those who leaked/stole it from the lab
Stop littering in every COVID related thread..

if the pandemic returns to china then end of human is near.

Virus test can turn up positive weeks after infection in many case, not just cov19. But that doesn't mean patient is contagious or physically ill. Once infected, virus can leave their mark in our DNA, some might even be beneficial.
Yes, we have countless viruses as part of our body.

five of the 147 patients in a study tested positive again after recovery, Wang Wei, director of the city’s Tongji Hospital, told the state broadcaster CCTV yesterday.

three to 14 percent according to medical experts

Can I have a real news source that does actual journalism?

So it turns out the 14% was an earlier study from February based on 13 people.
Meaning it just happend that 2 people tested positive for any reason in February or January.

Meanwhile among 147 in a more recent study its 5.
While still something of concern, thats the complete opposite of a disturbing development
