China, Pakistan to deploy warships to safeguard Balochistan port

buddy...relax...as a friendly request...please take your time off from PDF if that is going to help...there is no need to always nuke the sh1t out of each other and i know you are better than this....on topic...there is no need for a nuclear submarine to protect a port...which is what this topic is about....

Ideally PLAN should have no role to play here....however if PN thinks that they would need services of PLAN and they have agreed then good for them....though in larger context....it also opens up opportunities for India in South China context in due time...

It not always about the port but Balochistan considering not too long ago some one made reference to Balochistan. Besides Pakistan already needs a second strike capability. It has nothing to do with nuking each other nor did i mentioned anything like that at all. Nukes are a weapon of deterrent. Since Pakistan lacks strategic depth, we need an assured second strike capability incase of a 1st nuclear strike on us.

Just why not? Assuring a 2nd strike capability and deploying it in Balochistan, imagine the signal it will send out.
PS i might be only one of very few individuals who think Pakistan also needs an ICBM. Now you know Pakistan does not need it for India.

Rationally, it is win-win situation for Pak & China as Chinese want to secure 50+ bn $ investment and for, Pakistan it is support of a friend. 2ndly, PN should not exhaust its current limited capabilities and spend $$$ to escort Chinese cargo until it gains for capability and have full set up at Gawadar.

So Chinese should protect their goods and give some pain in the *** of some Morons.

1-They secure their energy supply.
2-Base at gawadar puts Energy supply from Strait of Hurmuz right in the blackmail of Chinese Navy especially for India,Taiwan,Japan etc
3-It gives PLAN an alternative spot to park their vessels

Not a good idea Pakistan should done it them self. by taking responsibility of securing this daunting task PN image would enhance its prestige new label . if China things PN is not well equipped to both securing it sea boarder along with securing CPEC China should lease some modern frigate destroyer to PN until PN bought enough Ships .

This allows China to project its power overseas, and have Naval assets in the area in case any kind of escalation with a certain overly-dramatic neighbor.

Back then the Navy was not well organized and underequipped, Now however, most of the Navy arsenal is built around directly countering Indias Navy, we have many modern ships, missiles, and submarines that makes an attack from the Indian Navy near suicidal.

Not if both ormara karachi and gwadar are operational. More than type 054A, im interested to see if PN goes for the type 057 that was supposedly offered. If true that would be a legitimate beast in the Indian ocean (From mockup it has 48VLS Cells, 8 AShM, 8 cell FL-3000N CIWS, AND a type 730 CIWS, with what looks to be a solid state AESA radar on the conning tower, and looks to be in the 4-5000t category)
