India bought Chinese trains for Mumbai metro as well as from other countries for Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad metros as well.

Why do you buy cheap cars from other countries?
 
India purchased the rolling stocks for Delhi metro from Japan,good trains infact,as far as i think it would b much better if we sticked with Japanese companies for Mumbai also,but since this time we want to cut down little cost,China came into picture,nothing here for chest thumping

I think Delhi metro trains were supplied by Bombardier's factory in Gujarat.

For Mumbai metro there was another tender and a Chinese company won it.
