passports of inhabitants of Arunachal Prad-esh and J&K. Instead, visas are stapled to the passport that Indian immigration authorities refuse to recognise as valid.

Sources said the “suggestion” was received early in August. The team was to leave for Beij-ing this month. This time,

China did not make an issue of just one state — Arunachal Pradesh — but the entire Northeast.

“The Chinese suggestion has been referred to the I&B Ministry for appropriate action,” a government official said.

A written request from HT to the Ministry of External Affairs has remained unanswered for more than a week.

The Chinese Embassy spokesperson in Delhi did not comment on the suggestion. The spokesperson, however, insisted Beijing was keen on media interaction between the two countries.

“We hold media interaction, like the business interaction, will go a long way in promoting with ties between our two countries” the spokesperson said, emphasising efforts were on to have active interaction between journalists in the two countries.

mmmmmmmm so the Chinese will get the visa from Pakistani embassy for doing development work in Indian Occupied Kashmir or will it just enter IoK from Azad Kashmir ???

Probably after embarassingly failed attempted to corner china on building infrastructure in pakistani kashmir..how bankrupt is the Indian gov that they need infrastructure investment from their arch enemy?

Looks like behind all the bragging lies fear of another 1962!

kiddo its pure business chinese are not doing any favor or donations they are just investing and earning from India. And India is also getting what it wants.

And as for as enemy thing goes its due to the fact that India have neglected its military for long and we have allowed all type of elements to bully India.

As our economy and militray power grows we will be friends and partner.

But that day is the biggest nightmare of pakistan who will loose its godfather.

Its business, whether they do it or not.

The fact is that this road building might make Kashmiris angrier (because last time they tried, it was pretty obvious they were trying to solidify their support in that region suddenly after so much neglect)...

After that, China might be taking advantage somehow because loss of Kashmir will hurt India a lot. But that's less likely, as I said; it's just business

Well they have been spanking the so called real owner on the Kashmir issue let's see what will be their reaction to this issue.

If the agreement is done. The papers will be signed between the 2 respective governments and which actually means the recognition of that part.

I am willing to put money on the table and say the papers won't include any such recognition. This is business as many Indian members here recognize. A business contract is not the place to include such a controversial declaration.
