What's new

Bangladeshi music

Not connected with music but sort of a fun event with music for those interested - the KEUNE Academy opened a local branch to improve hair-readiness for well-coiffed local fashionistas.

Ahare - Minar Rahman

Black - Porahoto (Wounded & Defeated)

A moody traditional 'you done me wrong' song :-) . Don't go jump off a building now...

Another version...

Now after the double-whammy of sad songs above, how 'bout something a little more upbeat?

And from Miles' new album no less? (Album: Protichhobi)

Yes Guys - it's true. I am going to post a few new songs by Tishma - the much reviled, much maligned and much misunderstood rocker from Bangladesh.

Yes she was way ahead of her time in here, but if you look beyond the lip piercings, the heavy eyeliner, the beanie collection and the rainbow hair (scene girl), there is actually some talent in there.

The latest of her offerings show surprising maturity in composition, lyrics and production values. She has literally come of age and should take her show on the road all across India (they're definitely ready for her even if we're not).

Best of luck to her - go Tishma !

Couple of recent ones

One from 2008

And an English one from 2012 (Road of Dreams)
