Babar Awan analysis was incomplete and incorrect. Prices cant come down 40% so early.

Here in North America, the prices are down between 20 to 25%. But North American economy is much more resilient. Since 2003, the price of oil we buy at pump has doubled. But the prices of commodities are the same, give or take a few cents.

This is no comparison to country like Pakistan. Pakistan economy is more dependent on remittances, IMF handouts and loans. Since the economy is weak in structure, it cant take increasing price pressure. The increasing price is thus transferred to the customer immediately because govt has no money.

The economy will remain weak if we dont change our political direction.

This is a very good article of whats in store. With US becoming the biggest oil exporter by 2017, It will force to reduce prices below $60 a barrel. That will put extreme pressure on middle east economies so dependent on oil exports.

Also, please stopping voting for thieves like PPP and PMLN. Pakistan needs real reforms and thieves can do only one thing - steal. Every time we vote for them we give them opportunity to steal more and get better at it.
