What's new

Army's ammunition won't last 20 days of war

Is that how it's calculated? as in, if Pakistan was given same amount of amuniation, it'd last much longer? given that we've a smaller army

That article have a lot of Rubbish .We dont purchase any ammunition from Israel but we bought some laser guided bomb from them.
Bharat forge gave us necessary ammunition during that tough time. These Indian Private firm did it within the time without considering profit.

That is what I am talking about. These Ammunition reserve would be problem when we engage with nation like China.
Our Convential size will help us to finish our missions when Pakistan is on other side.

With their constant refrain of a "two-front war" you would think they would get a larger stockpile of ammunition, or at least try to manufacture their own. o_O
2 weeks is more than sufficient for Pakistan Army/Airforce to become operationally ineffective and start retreating. After that its negotiations and Indian demands or nuclear weapons.

If it were a war with China, Id say the ammo stockpile is insufficient, but despite rhetoric there is absolutely zero possibility of an Indo-Chinese war.

Yeah, a lot of us, be it Indians, accept information or see it so it seems to fit our opinion. Many Pakistanis will think they can beat India, seeing the news, when it actually means something different.

Like example, 40 tonne ammunition respectively by indian and Pakistani army, who would finish it first? Obviously indian as they have bigger army. Also I'm sure China will have 20 days of ammunition as well if it goes to war... with the US.

Sad how we distort news to fit our agenda.

Najam sethi said there was this COAS in the early 90s who said we need a puppet afghan gov't. So in case Pakistan falls, we can retreat to Afghanistan.

For a COAS to think like that, means there was lack of morale (then), and India will likely swoop up Pakistan quite fast.

I'm no army guy yet I still think that Pakistan can hold India well for long time as India has to put forces on many borders vs other nations, whereas Pakistan doesn't need protection against China, Iran and Afghanistan to an extent (no air force, tanks etc and those afghan terrorists would love to fight India given a chance, as Pakistan army majorly and gov't minorly still support certain taliban groups)

So mighty India can't survive war for 20 days WOW just imagine if they get two face two front war

Oh please invade us by all means then, our current state of affairs definitely makes us inferior to Pakistan.....................:coffee:

lol. Invading india is sucide, which india anxiously wants pakistan to commit. The world opinion will favor india, meaning economy will continue whereas pakistan will face sanctions and ban on arms import.

Pakistan stands a chance if India invades, as sanctions won't be imposed and it will be qble to continue arms procurment. In today's world, sanctions can cripple nations. Pakistan needs loans to survive, or else it'll go bankrupt. Loans will stop coming when it faces sanctions.

On the other hand, Pakistan manufactures all of its ammo and exports it as well. We are stocking them under the mountains -- o_O

Two front war, yea right :enjoy:

we should find out where we stocking fuel for those tanks because the reserves if we go to war is 14 days.

Neither do we.
India has only deployed its Army against Pakistan and China. We have no Military on the border of any other neighbour. We have no hostile military on any of our borders bar Pakistan, yes not even from China.

We share not just neutral, but great relations, with almost all of them -
Nepal (open border),
Bhutan (open border),
Myanmar(semi-open border),
Bangladesh(guarded by paramilitary only to prevent illegal immigration and smuggling, zero heavy weapons)
Sri Lanka(island, semi open).

Against China we are raising new forces instead of redeploying current force structure. So the current force structure is almost exclusively against Pakistan.
