Army soldier martyred in attack on Pak-Afghan border post

A Pakistan Army soldier was martyred on Tuesday on the Pak-Afghan border after terrorists attacked a post in the area, said a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The post, located in the Bajur sector of the international border, came under fire from Afghan territory, reulting in the martydom of Sepoy Sabir Shah.

The military's media wing added that Islamabad has consistently been raising the issue for border management with Kabul to avoid the use of Afghan soil for attacks against Pakistan.

Earlier, the Army said that the unfortunate rise in violent incidents on both sides of Pak-Afghan border is meant to "derail Afghanistan peace process".

"Pakistan earnestly believes that both countries deserve peace and progress. Together we will defeat all spoilers," Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar had said in a tweet.

In August, a Frontier Corps (FC) soldier was martyred while two others sustained injuries due to firing from across the Afghan border.

The military's media wing had said that mortar and heavy weapons were used during the firing in Bin Shahi area of Dir district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).

The TTP are trying to make a stand in that good old shithole Waziristan

The Taliban are advancing on all fronts in Afghanistan
A recent meeting between Taliban and TTP where Taliban demanded TTP halt all activities against Pakistan and go after Kabuli puppets was refused by TTP setting up possible conflict with the Taliban


TTP has splintered but they are being hammered so TTP plus some of the splinter groups are making a last stand

They are in Eastern Afghanistan and in border areas in PAKISTAN side

border fence is up but it's not magic and without massive patrolling they have tried to cut parts of fences to get into PAKISTAN

waziristan is a real snakes pit, full of afghani refugees, namak harams, PTM

but even those clowns now see the TTP regrouping in the area



Thus far some important target's of the TTp have been taken out by our forces and they are under pressure




But we're getting closer to a tipping point where we will need to carry out some serious targeted clearance of areas and kill as many of them as we can

someone told me that military might actually want TTP to create a bit of a mess in some parts of Waziristan to justify going in hard and taking them out whole sale as opposed to going in early killing some and others keep their heads down

remember this is PTM home ground and to counter the usual PTM cries of state hurting them the TTP creating enough mess amongst the fassadi idiots might make military action more palatable
