Afghans rescue Indian national flag from Pakistan at Chaman Friendship Gate. Border closed

Before making the Afghans live under the Jaahil rule of Taliban, first change your laws and start following Taliban laws.

We have much better options than the Taliban, they don't. Therefore, we don't have to live under Taliban rule. But they should, and will.

Our saying doesn't matter, what Afghan citizens wants that matters. @A-Team your viws please about Taliban, is it good bad or good for one bad for other, what about TTP & Pakistan Taliban.

One man is not necessarily the view of the people.

Even if it is a minor incident - it irks Pakistan and that's what India wants - won't be surprised if next Modi mentions the Durand Line and how NWFP / KP belongs to Afghanistan.

Strategy of irking Pakistan has worked really well for India and Afghanistan, I suppose

Is he Afghan native or not? If yes then it does matter in a democratic state.

Is it really an authentic news site? @A-Team

Afghan-India Brotherhood forever anyways:

Yeah extremely authentic here is the reason why;

Afghans shouted Pro-Indian and Afghan friendship slogans and burnt 100s of Pakistan flags at the Friendship gate.

They happens to have 100s of Pakistani flags to burn on moments notice!

A country with a 30% literacy rate is not fit to be democratic.
Sorry to disappoint you but what is exactly literacy doing with democracy??? Care to explain. We have how litterate people vote in fractured opinion while a country named India though Illiterate for most of last century but still fight for democracy, Afghanistan is exactly doing the same which Pakistan should have been doing in past. But alas what is gone is already gone. Let's focus on democracy and work to strengthen it.

If someone is illiterate, you cannot expect them to be educated enough in politics. If you allow illiterate children to vote, then you have to allow children to vote. Are you really going to want that? Just looking at India's PM should tell you that letting illiterate people vote isn't a good idea.

Want to strengthen democracy? Make it a serious affair, not a joke.

You mean: Want to strengthen democracy? Make it a serious affair, not a pakistan.
Illiterates are as good as educated to make a choice for themselves

Taking jabs at Pakistan just show you are losing this argument. Illiterates are not educated enough to make major decisions in politics.

No, it means how much joke pakistan has made of democracy.
Illiterates are educated enough to choose who is best suited to take major decisions for them in politics. They may not make a good choice, but they CAN make their own choice, and that is what democracy is. Way better than military or communist dictatorship, where no one, even educated ones, have the power of choice.

That is highly variable I am afraid.

It was a mistake for India to go for universal suffrage with poor education levels.

But hindsight is 20/20.

no, it was a sane decision. Nation comprises of entire population. And there are many examples of illiterates doing better jobs than highly educated ones as far as politics is concerned. Its honesty and intent that is needed, education is not a guarantee of having these virtues. How does a master degree holder in physics or a PhD in German studies become good for politics?
