What's new

ACM at rolling out ceremony of 100th JF17

Well now that the Chinese WS-10 engine is fully complete , we really have no hard limit on trying out a duel Engine platform

Why CAN WE NOT SEE a single Pakistani in this project .

Surely to GOD YOUR PEOPLE must be involved at same stage

Even observers
Ouch, so sour, 6 vs 100.:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:. Why not compare with us Chinese? Pakistan is our brother, we TRANSFER the technology to them. LCA has Russian, French, American, Israelie, British consultants? SO?

Well the Stealth platform is still maturing I always felt , a theoretical JF18
or Perhaps a Block 4 Thunder would be a duel Engine plane

Seems logical to me 99% of world uses 5th Generation planes so before we start talking about Stealth platform which we are researching , it is best to take the step towards a Duel Engine Bird

Converting a JF17 to a Duel format JF18 would not be a drastic challenge.

a) Central Body colum might need widening
c) Perhaps the wing would have to be scaled up

Having 75 Air Superiority JF18 would make sense

Certrainly possible to see to slighly scalled up JF17 can infact house 2 Engines if needed with a adjusted Pilot Section also needed
If only life could be that simple. A couple of pencil, design board,an eraser and a scale and walla.
Lookat your own design and tell me whether the weight of an engine in the rear would not displace its COG. Here people took one year to just research how to accomodate an AESA radar into the platform.THE BLOODY FOOLS!!!!They should simply have come to you. By the way two engines mean double the fuel. Where have you accomodated it? Can people please try and understand the complexities of aviation design. It is not because the engineers are jerking off that it takes years to evwn perfect minor changes. People work very hard and each minor change goes through vetting to see the effects of it on flight characteristics. These are then discussed and issues resolved by further design modifications till gou achieve the end result. This is then built as a prototype, flown and tested during flight and further prototypes built to test other aspects.
So this silly drawing will cost a billion dollars before you have a tangible plane out of it. And wait------PAF might still reject it as it has no need for such a platform or the platform is not fit for use.

Actually all , the innovation is done by experimenting designs and actually taking risks.

If every one just say and waited for perfect design to fall in one's laps nothing would get done

The field of aircraft engineering is mature enough that you don't need to 'experiment' with single vs. double engine. You start off with requirements and those requirements naturally translate into how many engines you will need.

Well from technical prespective designs do evolve. Not necessarily saying strip the completed JF17 into JF18 but when you are about to start a new plane assembly just simply use a new enhanced body column which can house 2 engines.

It is really this one central part that has to be redesigned. Should not be that difficult to adjust for 2 engine design. The internal electronics, wiring , avionics and wings etc all can just get attached on the skeleton as same as before

My advise is you should read a book on aeronautical systems engineering.

is'nt indians are doing with LCA Tejas and KAVERI ?

No he wont and he wont listen to anything logical either. So let him wonder on in his flights of fantasy and mental flagellations.

The front looks like diamond shape ??

Similar to the pic below ??

Time will tell ;)
And apparently all the surface antennae will go. But dont expect too much redesigning
