bdians watch bollywood a lot.. most bdians I know watch nearly every bollywood movie... I may watch like 2 or 3 in a year.. so its a problem with you people... dont be a hypocrite, I am pretty sure the amount of money bollywood movies spend in bd in promotion is minimal...

More than SH, it's the Indians who would object to Chinese jets. You guys might end up with Indian used MiG-29s or new Teja.

We/you love or hate Sheikha Hasina, she is in good terms with all the western and eastern world powers as well as the only regional power named India. She is quite capable of balancing the powers with various interests. She is also balancing India with heeding to BA position that demands military purchases to be made from China. The question is certainly not if China will sell Fc-20 because of Hasina. Question is if BD economy is strong enough to pay for those sky toys.

Talking about Indian pornography! Who even watches that shit? No intercourse just cuddling on bed xD now don't ask me how I saw this shit. I saw many things in life.

This isn't really about SH. This is about India's desire to keep BD militarily crippled and deny space for any relationship between Chinese and/ or Pakistanis and Bangladeshi military. SH may not be there in future but these aircraft and BAF will be there. They will put immense pressure on SH just as they did with Sri Lanka on JF-17 issue. There is a reason why all aircraft with BAF have short range and loitering. They wouldn't let BAF have longer range aircraft like Su-27/30 or J-10. Not even JF-17. I'm afraid SH will buckle under Indian pressure.

Best choice would be for BAF should just stick to acquiring improved MIG-29s or the MIG-35 for higher end, fleet commonality will reduce maintenance costs. For lower end ground attack acquire something like the Super Tucano to keep budget down for operations.

Haseena will like to please the Indians with a Tejas order but they will not be ready for delivery for a really long time. I'm pretty sure India will likely offer used aircraft for preventing Bangladesh from acquiring something too capable. So besides budget issues, really depends on Bangladesh's political will. If they play cards right they can extract concessions from India.

JF-17, J-10 or FC-20 will not be allowed by India, so no possibility. There was alot of talk in Bangladeshi forums that they really like their F-7BGs and they've gotten them modified for precision weapons and BVR but F-7 production line has ended, so further improved variants are out of the question.

Bangladesh should try to get more MIg-29s,probably the SMT version.1 Sqd of these will keep Myanmar at bay.for lower end, though Bangladesh is purchasing F-7,its not impressive anymore. They should try to get a proper 4th Gen.Gripen is a viable option.

With all due respect - not happening. Old or Indian items not a possibility.

The indications are fairly strong that new fighters will be obtained. Now as to when and more importantly what- those are both question marks.

SHW does not have a say-so in it.....the Air Force dictates when and what it wants, within reason.

It is true that Bangladesh Govt.will not make purchases that antagonize Indian administration. So I see mainly 'token' less capable but modern fighters being bought with some threadbare capabilities like borderline BVR and medium grade radars barely capable of launching basic missiles and smart bombs. The Mig-35 or Gripen as mentioned are possibilities with Mig-35 being a best bet.

In other words, no pie-in-the-sky offensive armament like air-launched naval cruise missiles. More advanced purchases will be made in defensive weapons like long-range missile defense to complement the SHORAD we already bought to defend strategic and defence installations like bridges and cantonments.

I think money will play the major factor here.

My guess is the Padma bridge scam that resulted in 4
billion dollars coming from the BD treasury instead of cheap overseas loans is delaying the modernisation of BD military. Hopefully when the Padma bridge is complete in 2018, then money will be available to place an order for 4+ gen fighters in numbers.

Good luck. I wish you guys get something good and potent.
