56% Pakistanis prefer economic relationship with China: Gallup Survey

China is Pakistan's largest trade partner for years, its just Pakistan imports more from China.

They pay for all the Chinese products with money they earn from selling to EU, Gulf and Anerica

Those countries cant provide Pakistan with those needed affordable products for the population.

A recent survey conducted by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan found that the majority of Pakistanis (56%) favor an economic partnership with China, while only 13% prefer a partnership with the United States (US). The survey, which included a representative sample of both men and women in Pakistan, asked participants which country they would prefer their country to partner with economically: the US, China, Russia, or the EU. Of those surveyed, 8% indicated a preference for Russia, 8% selected “others,” and a mere 4% favored an economic partnership with the EU.

Now that I read this, the title seems to be very misleading since it leads the reader to assume the 44% would be US or the west =))
The real numbers are even worse for the west

What percentage of Pakistanis apply for the US green card versus Chinese citizenship?
What does economy relationship has to do with immigration ? China is not an immigration country as the US.

It is funny when you get paid you get paid with all the hard earned remmitances of Pakistani immigrants
You have Chinese working all over Africa and sending remmitances back home

Stop seething and bitching because they don't want to flood their country with immigrants, we know you Indians want to escape no matter where to but have some shame

Incredibly cringe when people feel entitled to have entry into someone else's land as residents when they clearly don't want that.

There are literally hundred of thousands of Africans working in China now mostly doing business. Those African countries welcome Chinese go there to do business and developments, otherwise Chinese wont be there.

China is not that far behind in her appeal as an immigration choice for Pakistanis. She is bound to overtake US in this regard sooner rather than later.

Nathuz you are one efficient chameleon.

We got no oil, no resources and our human talent sucks. We have nothing to offer. Its a lopsided relationsip and will be a drain on the CAD.

No oil and no resources is no excuse. Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan (China), Hong Kong (China) are all poor on oil and natural resources.

You need to have people of business talents, especially export minded people, vocational training for mid-level technicians and common workers, infrastructure (power stations, railways, seaports, airports, universities and colleges heavily invested in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, mathematics) as well as economics, business studies and accountacy.

You need to encourage foreign investments with Tax Incentive and setting up industrial zones or industrial parks/estates for them.

Gwadar Port project was a good starting point, but Pakistanis enthusiasm is a bit low.

And lastly, you need to have long term political stability.
