28 Nato oil tankers set ablaze in Islamabad

A little off topic post, but in my view, quite relavant to the Indo Pak environment.

This whole NATO incident goes to vindicate India's reluctance in joining the IPI project. Doesnt it?

totally india should stay out of IPI and let its energy starved nation shun progress! tankers were protected so far until they carried out droned attack against our army!

in return what did our army do pull back defense for the tankers! so its all a back door game between NATO & Pakistan Army! its a sign you mess around with us! we retaliate where it hurts you the most! :coffee:

I believe that US should not have killed the pakistani army folks.. All targets(inside pakistan) should be discussed on realtime with pakistan to eliminate leakage of information.

I feel sorry for those dead....

regarding the Oil tankers, ofcourse people would be incited by death of their own people in their own country caused by some one else... US should apologise (guess they have already expressed that) -

and ensure it does not happen in the future...

and the politicians and army should convince the citizens abt the greater cause and stop burning supply trucks...

When money comes flowing in... we all know who will blink. There is no other end to this snafu.

Whether there is money or not,American administration must learn that it's just a part of the war.It has happened in the past and can happen again ,who knows?

Or if they can't handle the losses ,better look for another route.

Exactly my point. No one can gaurantee that India Pakistan will not have issues down the line. And at that time, Pakistan can blackmail India the same way it is pressurizing NATO at this time. Wouuld be foolish for India to have such a dependence on Pakistan

May be spend a couple of billion dollars extra now, but should look at alternate mechanism/routes for India's energy needs..

They were UK troops who were engaged in that particular operation.

Therefore, it becomes very important to flex some muscles. The brits have been talking a lot of rubbish lately against Pak in contrast to WOT. Starting from Camoron to this incident of killing FC soldiers. Camoron should be made sorry over his remarks. Perhaps they are still pissed off over their imperial defeat in Kyber Pass and want to vent out some frustrations carried over generations. Its has become "khandani frustation". :pakistan:

Lets put it other way India joins gas project coming from south west and north west and definitely those projects will raise economic stakes of both countries. Pakistan gets gas and royalty and India gets gas for its booming economy and may be some day we find oil pipes from these routes as well. that will be time when both countries will stop raising temperature in days as we see now. Lets see brighter side too.

Would love to see it going that way, but there is just too much baggage between India and Pakistan. We first need to reach a level of indifferent neighbours from the current level of arch enemies. Its only after that we can actually get involved in peripherals like trade and joint projects.

Look at it today, Pakistan earns royalty from US as well on supply transit. Did not stop Pakistan from leaving these supply tankers open to attack by militants.

They are not favoring us by providing aid and loans we are spending much more than that. Anyways Pakistani forces do not provide protection to NATO supply trucks and tankers for using oil and ordnance they carry be used against Pakistani forces.

There are tickers on news channels that more NATO containers and tankers are under under fire near Nowshera.

US has accepted its fault on helicopter firing incident apologized as well.
