this happens when there are no emergency exists made, no fire extinguishers placed on buses

inna lillah wa inna 3ilayhi raaji3uun

There are faster and less painful ways to make that rujuu3 though. Hope they get compensated.

the explosions were of a CNG cylinder, 6 of them were in the bus, this is a very big problem for pakistan which we have never realized, inadequately trained people install these kits on 80% vehicles, hence you get faulty pipes and other hazards, and make a time bomb of the vehicle.

It is high time we induct more public transport and reduce the vehicles on the road, hence reducing the consumption of oil, and then raise the price of CNG and bring down petrol prices, petrol isnt volatile like CNG, and more safety standards should be put in place. In Oman, it is mandatory that a fire extinguisher and a medical kit be present in the car or else you get fined really heavily, the equivalent to 300 rials or so. And one rial is apprx. equal to 224 rupees!

CNG Tank is a disaster waiting to happen - Unfortunately, it is only cheaper alternative to Petrol for Pakistani Consumers.

This is the 5th thread I read in last 2 days with people dieing in a bus or a vehicle

lack of safety equipment...lack of laws enforcing safety on transporters..legislative assemblies too busy amending laws which have no direct impact on public...
coulnt the passengers smell the leaking gas? it gives off a very strong smll.

Someone read the news? There was a explosions in one of the 5 CNG cylinders.

Thats why I hate CNG. It has not only been cause of many lives (Due to untrained maintenance crew), but it plays a huge role in steady increase in petroleum prices, and downfall of petrol in Pakistan.

  • We can mostly see young laborers fixing the CNG cylinder, which can prove to be fatal (and it happens) as they aren't properly trained or not trained at all. They just do what they see others doing.
  • Due to cheap prices, CNG's usage has gone up largely, leaving poor demand of gasoline, and the refineries now work half or quarter of their capacity, rising fuel prices.

Please stop using CNG. The prices now are hardy any different, and using petrol would be safe and beneficial for your nation!
The driver was using 5 cylinders of CNG in that truck fitted with most probably diesel engine!
