What's new

A New Dawn for Pakistan.

I might sound noobish but what are the strategic implications of this docking ? Jahaz to pehly b langar andaaz hotay Karachi m

You did not get it did you? :D

1) First deep sea/on front of water channel, port in South Asia with heavy handling capacity.
2) Karachi Port had issues with handling of such type of Mother/mega vessels hence this port.

I took this thing as an implication of some sort of potential alliance with the Japanese :-)
Pehly is tonnage k jahaz kaha jaaty thy

I don't know if a lot of people here read into maritime stuff or not, but last I heard, SAPT was to have a max depth of 18m, whereas, Krishnapatnam Port is deeper at 18.5m and been that since 2008. How in the name of anything on earth does this make SAPT the deepest port in the Indian Subcontinent?
If its about ABL Japan, bigger ships are docked at Jawaharlal Nehru Port in Bombay.
So, please stop misleading and change the title. Maybe you meant to claim another thing. But this one is false.

I would share links to support my post but don't have that privilege yet.. Also, can you provide some more details about the new terminal?

First mega container ship in Indian subcontinent :rofl: APL JAPAN - Gross tonnage is 64502 tons

MSC Valeria with gross tonnage of 153115 tons has docked in Mundra Port way back in 2013.

Somebody is trying to play important ;) And what the hell is Indian Pakistan sub continent?

Chutiyay, agar news parh letey toh pata chalta ke APL Japan was there to test out the port operations - bigger ships will come after all the kinks are worked out in operation.

Once again, learn to do your research before making yourself look like an idiot.

Someone claimed that to be first deep sea port in India Pakistan sub continent..I think those comments are in context of that..

Thank Nawaz Sharif and Pmln for this great achievement.

These projects started long time ago, probably during Musharraf time.

We are still waiting for Nawaz Sharif to eliminate load shedding and bring Bullet train to Pakistan.

The thread opener wrote "Congratulation to South Asia Pakistan Terminals Karachi (SAPT) for being 'first' deep sea port in Indian Pakistan sub continent

Neither the said port is first deep sea port in 'Indian Pakistan sub continent', God knows what that is! nor the MV you handled is the largest, samjha, ab chutiya kaun?
