thats sounds fine. but how does cheaper higher performing jet .

When everything is factored in, upgraded F-16s are likely to be less expensive and more potent than J-10s. There are three factors that sway in J-10s favour, availability of used F-16s, prohibition/ dependence on US for custom local/ chinese specialist (long range weapons) and fear of sanctions during conflict.

However Su-35 is a superior aircraft to F-16 but then again it has too many ifs and buts attached to it. I tend to agree with what @araz said about this probable deal. Most likely PAF will not agree to buy Su-35.

I don't think Pakistan will ever get sanctioned, unless something big happened in terms of some terrorism crap and the gov't or the military of Pakistan is found to be directly involved at some level. Which, I don't foresee happening as there is a democratic system in place and both, the civilians and the military are too focused on combating and removing terrorism out of Pakistan.

Once the system starts to produce what its suppose to, a LOT of stuff will change, people, social life, income levels, all will change. Resulting in total removal of these extremist views as no one would hear them, would need them or want them. Everyone would be busy pursuing a better lifestyle and good stuff that comes with life, like it is in bigger cities already.

I agree. Pakistan is not likely to be sanctioned however a greater threat comes from the balancing act US has to play in region vis-a-vis it's two allies. In an effort to not upset India, US will not clear weapons as freely as it use to. Only exception may be if ISIS gets traction in the region and sends US scrambling to strengthen Pak security forces. They will veto Indian concerns in that case, in my opinion.

What's the credibility of this news.

J-10 & J-11 are available and can be purchased any time. However opportunity of getting Su-35 should be availed on priority. PAF can get its support from China in any worst case scenario.
as long as there's a Russian Engine the Russians will object it one way or another,
JF-17 is a different deal altogether, but J-11 till 16 are basically copies of Su 27 and 30 and hence are direct competitors,

the Russians would Rather See Pakistan attain Su 35 than J11.

The only real potential buyer of SU-35 at the moment is Iran.

F-16 blk52 of Iraq Air Force are going to be offered to PAF.

How do you know? Any source to confirm this?

Pakistan wont buy such a heavy twin engine fighter as Su-35. Its too big an investment with a country with whom our relations have just thawed. To me it does not make diplomatic or technical sense.

Russian planes of the size of Sukhois are maintenance and resource intensive. On top of that, Russian customer service is among the worst in the world. Indian member will vouch for that.

The US, Russia, China, France and UK (just to name the major ones) have put Pakistan in a separate bucket than India. This is what happens when there is a Civilian government who's created an environment that has projected a growing economy and a potentially top 15th largest economy.

These decisions are made when countries and nations look at each other from a mutual beneficial relationship's standpoint and there is something for everyone. Pakistan has huge potential and the civilian setup is in full swing and the system has started to produce progress. Therefore, the relationship (for the first time in Pakistan's history) are being established based on mutual respect for a country with a lot to offer and is a growing economy and a power, not a liability. When you look at someone in those equal terms, everything changes. Pakistan has changed its outlook and others have changed their way of dealing with Pakistan. Welcome to a being-built Democratic, Modern and Economically strong Pakistan!!! IMO, this setup continues and Pakistan makes progress, sanctions will never happen. That was the past.

One way or other 65 mil each wih full operational jet its cheap for me with a thrust vectoring capability no jet has yet

Still no media news link available...

I agree Su jets and Russian customer service is poor. May be this is the very reason Russia want PAF to help them to sort this out. If you remember there wire pictures of SU -35 and JF-17 comparing built quality.

Most likely PAF will not agree to buy Su-35

Su-35 is heads and shoulders above f-16,there is simply no comparison.
But then again it will never be offered............and u think pakistan will reject the proposition if they are offered??

And u think jf-17 has better quality??

If Russia don't want to offer big ticket items like Su-35s then why they are allowing Pakistan evaluating them?

Kya yar, 15 Page "Potential Buyer" k lie ? Had ho Gai.

I feel, its their part time Job, except for F22 and F35 , PAF have evaluated/flown all aircraft.
Guess what they 'Evaluated" Su 30s , Rafales and .. even F 15s.

Who knows,fake news maybe.

Russians know pakistan cannot afford too many su-35 even if they want to.Plus there is the indian angle,,,without indian money they will be in a bad position. Its a fact of life.
