Current Pakistan upgraded Al Khalid-1 already matches, and even surpasses, Arjun II of India in many fields...

If this tank is a new, improved one...then it must be amazing! Pakistan building kick-*** tanks

Even basic AK surpasses Arjun.. Discussed to death in Pak armour thread.

I would really like to say that HIT should have concentrated on Al-Khalid development and production rather than Al-Zarrar. More over, HIT should have done JV with China on Wheeled and Tracked APC and Armoured Trucks as well.

Sir calling their new Tank MBT-3000 and export version VT4 I think is enough to indicate that it is Al Khalid I because they used MBT 2000 and VT1 for AL Khalid

It is indeed a modified version of AL-KHALID.

But Chinese are using the term MBT-3000 they haven't used this or similar any other improved Tank I mean neither for Type-96 or Type 99 but they are using this term for this new Tank last time they used the term MBT-2000 was for the Tank which we know as Al-Khalid that is why I think its AL-Khalid I

MBT 2000 is a Chinese version of AK .. An export model.. And inferior to AK.. Vt1a is ...

Mbt3000 is a Chinese upgraded MBT2000?

AK has deep innovations/ modifications in every system. I dont see MBT 3000 influence on AKxx in any way. That would be like going back to drawing board and customise the AK2 similar to how HIT did with MBT-2000 to make it AK. As it stands today, AK has 65-70 tech directly coming from HIT and her subsidiaries and remaining from foreign countries UK, France, Germany etc.
