Cops shut down dance party in Lahore after cleric's threat

It's Islamic Republic of Pakistan and it's prime duty of state to stop Haram and Spread Halal
Its duty is to implement its laws and its laws dont criminalize what was stopped
So instead of defending this Haram crap first decide whether you want to believe and follow Quran and Sunnah or not
Lets leave on the individual how Islamic he or she wants to be as long its legal
Because if you do than this crap is not allowed can't be tolerated
Simple lower your gaze

Simple lower your gaze
Nope !!!!! Islam still says stop Haram lowering gaze doesn't mean ignore Haram and let that happen. You need to read. Muslims have been asked by ALLAH and his RASOOL SAW over and over again to stop Haram and Spread Halal and failure to do it will result in wrath of ALLAH which is also promised in Quran and Sunnah over and over again.

We keep going on in circles. The same argument from both sides and no one is willing to concede an inch. If you cannot reach a consensus do what majority does and that is keep silent and observe the law.

It's Islamic Republic of Pakistan and it's prime duty of state to stop Haram and Spread Halal and if state don't want to do it than should not cry that if people to do it because along with state it's duty of every Muslim to stop Haram and Spread Halal and failure to do that has promise of wrath from ALLAH in return if you look into Quran and Sunnah. So instead of defending this Haram crap first decide whether you want to believe and follow Quran and Sunnah or not. Because if you do than this crap is not allowed can't be tolerated and has to be stopped.

Zarwan people can still do things in moderation and live in moderation. The party was private and not open to public, you'd have to buy tickets. So relax.

There is no crap as moderation. Either you are with Islam nor you are not. This was Haram stuff and had to be stopped, I would have been happy if state would have done it instead of a Mullah which had to jump in. Also right now this is only one Mullah, But just imagine one day bigger Ulemas like Mufti Rafi Usmani and Mufti Taqi Usmani and likes them give call to come on streets to stop all Haram crap. These people and there on call would bring millions on road so better state wakes up before that.

What if we can first stop the coming wave of price hike in holy month which is going to effect 98% of population including a dehari daar who earns 300 rupees per month. If you can't do that then this piece of land isn't Islamic any more.

I do not intend to start a debate with you on this. I have already stated everything i could on the matter.

The stated terminology is for promoting good and forbidding evil which is incorporated in Pakistan's Constitution.

Please answer these two questions if you are interested in have a constructive discussion.

1) What is the penalty of eating pork?
2) Consuming alcohol and dealing with interest?

Please be specific in your answer.

The first point of constitution that every law should be based on Quran and Sunnah caters all the stuff and for drinking alcohol the punishment of 80 lashes is agreed upon. Dealing with interest also has to be tackled that still doesn't mean that crap vulgar parties can be allowed all Haram has to be stopped by state other wise sooner or later people will do it on there own.

Islam doesn't promote vigilante justice.
Secondly go to the polls and vote that such a system is in place.

It is as simple as pie if you want to understand.

Moreover those 80 lashes are not for consuming alcohol but disturbing public order under influence.

It does not mean going around town violating privacy whipping people.

What Islam promotes is state doing its job of stopping Haram and spreading Halal if they won't than people will do it on there own because stopping Haram and spreading Halal along with state is duty of every Muslim also. You can't prevent it from happening. Yes 80 lashes are for consuming alcohol

A typical explanation of moderation would be:

Lashes were the norms in that period and that society.

There can be different ways of punishment and i personally don't see lashes to be important but the punishment for public disorder can be a jail sentence as well.

Although I have little religious knowledge on this so i cannot be certain.

And we have done a full circle.

@Divergent1 your turn

Yes because Islamic orders and responsibilities are clear you and others supporting the Haram crap need to decide whether they want to remain Muslim or not because in Islam these haram are not allowed and state has duty to stop it and also people has the duty. We would keep going round in circle because orders of Islam are clear you need to decide what you are
