12 dead and 14 hurt in cross-border Afghan shelling in Chaman

Very professional of him.

And why does it need extra mention of being bearded or religious?

It really doesn't matter in a soldier's professional behaviour.

This is a dangerous thought and i want to be the first here to point otherwise.

Coz he was like really motived.

He took his family along to the border.

And would force us to listen to his kids "speeches" and stuff.

Protecting the motherland is a family business. The family of Pakistan which includes everyone wherever they maybe.

Being a commander letting his family speak for him is intended for better understanding of him as a person thus instilling confidence in his ranks.

This is an old trick of great commanders. Relish it.

Latest: Flag meeting between Pakistan and Afghanistan has finished. The decision will be reached on Geological report. Afghans have agreed to mark border on Geological report.

All tribes living in the border area are Pak citizens...their kin who lives on the other side is per default Pak citizens.

The only long term solution is to accord citizenship to the kin of Pak citizens along the border.

These tribals know how to fight the indian proxies... Pak FC and Army can provide them heavy armour/firepower support if/when needed.

It is time to turn this tragedy and betrayal into Blessing!

In the long term it solves many things... Pak Pathans are fiercely loyal to Pak and so are their kin on the otherside of the border.

Declare these tribes Pak Citizens and see how quickly these paid thugs run North.

Troubles are not over... I fear troubles are only starting.
The troublemakers are acting in coordinated fashion.

Don't let the eyes off Kashmiris and Kashmir.

Remain Safe. Remain Blessed!
As opposed to many Pak posters, this post from @Sinopakfriend has a workable strategy rather than suggestion for tactical actions.

Actually Sikhs were not pro Muslims because of cruelty of Mughal rulers toward them. Badshahi Mosque was desecrated by Ranjit Singh because it was built by Aurangzeb whom Sikhs dislike the most as Mughals killed their Gurru but any way Afghans rulers were not saint either as they were involved in plundering looting and rape as well .

How do you explain the ban on cow-slaughter and Azaan by Sikhs in Punjab and Kashmir? Azaan and beef-eating was not specific to Mughals. "Musla", a derogatory term akin to nigger, was coined by Sikhs for Muslims and from what i have read they also used it for Punjabi Musalman. They were simply religious fanatics of anti-Muslim sentiments. If they made alliances with Muslim chieftains some times, it was for convenience and gains. They were particularly notorious for demolishing and desecrating mosques. 18th century Baluch source "Jang-namah" says that Sikhs once came as far as Dera Ghazi Khan and desecrated a mosque and shrine of a saint there . Mir Naseer Khan Brahui on hearing these prepared a lashkar of Baluchs and set out to pursue the Sikhs. When Peshawar city was under their occupation they demolished the mosque at Gor Khatri and replaced it with a Sikh temple. These were not Mughal constructions. In Kashmir the punishment of eating beef was death sentence by hanging or stoning and they also demolished number of mosques there. Cow is not sacred in Sikh religion, it was just an excuse to go after Muslims. In 1709 a large Sikh force of Banda Singh entered Saharanpur (U.P). "Sikhs put to sword the entire population of peerzadas in the Behat town north of Saharanpur. The victims were executed on the charge of cow-slaughter. [G.R.C. Williams 'The Sikhs in Upper Doab']

It is unfortunate, Pakistan agree to that.

It is unfortunate, Pakistan agree to that.
It is good lets settle this and focus on the real enemy. No one is going to give Afghan an inch of territory every one knows that.

I dont see him as being overtly anti-Muslim or anything like that but not purely secular either.
For example, here Ranjit Singh visits Sayyidwala tehsil and visit the local Punjabi Muslim leaders (Mehr Singh here is Nakkai, who would convert to Islam by the 19th century as well)

Btw this paper also mentions Rai Ahmed Khan Kharral as having marital ties with Ranjit Singh.
@Zibago
Its not different from Ahmad Shah Abdali making Ala Singh of Patiala a friendly tributary. Shrewd and wise Ranjeet Singh utilized the services of Muslim chieftains for the supremacy of Sikh Shahi. For example Raja Agar Khan, a chieftain of Rajauri, acted as guide for the Sikh forces during their second (1813) and third invasions (1814) of Kashmir. Conquest of Kashmir (then held by Afghans) would not have been possible without help of local Kashmiri Muslims but Sikhs banned Azan in Kashmir, and hanged and stoned those who slaughtered cows. Even Mahadji Schindia did not ban cow-slaughter in Delhi when he was regent of Delhi empire.

Agreed, Wakhan corridor should be taken and a befitting military response should be given to Afghanistan.
On what basis?

@imadul , my dear friend, our Paks are Peoples of Heart... call it temperament or Passion or whatever... they are generous to their Core and Think with their Heart.

Let us be grateful that Pak Strategists are calm like K2 and know how to weigh both dangers and opportunities...

How else Pak has survived so long?

We are in for a long game here.. no short term petty gains...
Why gain an inch and loose a Mile?

Silly.

You just look at the map of Pak and I am sure you will SEE many Miles...

I say again... the Tribes are the First Line of Defence... and those who live on the 'other' side are to be given Pak citizenship...when this concensus is done with.

This way only these Pak Citizens would/should be allowed to come into Pak through the checkposts... it will solve many things in current state of affairs..and in the long run will reap many Fruits.

For now Cold Hearted Calculus is the need of the hour... all energies must go into chopping the head of the Snake and not fiddeling with its tail.

I have Faith in Pak State and Pak planners... they make many blunders, repeat many a mistake... in the end they always pull Giant White Rabbits from their invisible hats...

Pak needs to remain focused on snake's head and Kashmir. All else is distraction.

Young posters are reacting in a natural manner. And rightfully so... it only goes to show how much they love their Pak. Good thing!

haha I can see you must be fun at parties. Ciao I ain't wasting time on you, wallow in your hatred.

So no sources. That's what I thought.

As for parties... yeah I'm decent fun at them. I just usually step aside if bhangra is ever played. Usually if that happens, pajis with turbans appear out of nowhere (from a mist of smoke) and start doing their choreographed dances to it. Once the music stops, they disappear just as mysteriously as when they appeared.
