What's new

Danish women-led mosque holds first Friday prayers

Women cannot lead a man in prayer and there is no dispute among any scholars. Has nothing to do with a woman's position but to do with the idea of sexuality and zero distractions within prayer.

The same way a homosexual Muslim would be distracted by a butt of a man.

No biggie . There are already prayers being lead by Gay Imams in Australia (Nur Warsame) United States( Daaiyee Abdullah) South Africa (Muhsin Hendricks) and France ( Ludovic Mohamed-Zahed).

No matter how hard one tries to hold on to religion evolves to become one with the society it stays in. Both Religion and Society change each other . That is why you will find hundreds of different flavors in the way Islam or Christianity is practiced( as they have great global footprint) .

Homosexuality is not permitted in Islam. It is mentioned as one of the major sins and 'haraam' in Quran. So whatever these guys are practicing isn't Islam. Islam is not for gays, it is very strict when it comes to sexual orientation.

It's your opinion and you can have it but cannot impose it on democratic countries . So in each of these above mentioned countries both by self declaration and by country laws they are Muslims .

That is not my opinion. But anyways, they made a gay church, mosque, temple etc etc. Soon we will see gay presidents and prime ministers from these countries hopefully, that would be the real essence of democracy. :)

Point being, women are one excluded from the company of men praying whom they dont know, have Oscar's point of distraction. No every men has the equal amount of self control, no? Even if the all are muslims. I guess it could come from that point.

Security too. For those women.

They can lead it but that does not make it in line with traditional theology. Moreover, you picked up a totally tangential point from what I was stating. The idea is to have zero distractions in prayer, that cannot be done with someone looking at a female's behind; it is unfair to the people praying behind her as regardless of personal control and convictions; the issue has to do with giving the least opportunities for instinct to react.

What was that? .....:o:o_O
The logical truth. There is pure and simple requirement for everything in Islam; nothing is out of thin air. The creator knows his creation better than they will ever know themselves which is why he has advised rules and boundaries. The various schools of thought have tried to keep it as vague as possible to purposefully ensure that those of little understanding do not try to bypass these boundaries by suggesting they can overcome their carnal instincts or avoid them.

That's very twisted...lol
No it isnt. The concept of prayer is to (try)devote your attention to God completely without distraction.

U MUST be joking right ?

so a born muslim with homosexual orientation should do what ?

I am not. Can you for certain guarantee that you would not be aroused during prayer standing behind a woman?
Can you guarantee it for every human being?

We have seperate places of prayer for females in many mosques where they offer prayer and socialize.
That's different from making a masjid specifically for women to come and attend. Unlike men, women aren't obligated to pray in masjid. So just for socialization sake, making a masjid make no sense. It wouldn't be a masjid to begin with if main intention is to project feminist agenda or some socialization event. Gay dude getting pounded all night and then leading prayer in the morning doesn't make him an Imam. Similarly, doing up and down motion doesn't make women gathering a Salah.

So what's the problem with a male getting aroused in place of worship. And can you for certain guarantee that a male devotee would not be aroused in absence of women. And do you really believe a man won't get aroused in a complete absence of women.

Yes , there is nothing wrong in having a Gay PM or President .

Western countries are very tolerant to LGBT persons (you might like it or not) and what's wrong in having a President from the LGBT community ? The most important is how efficient he is during his term, how successful he is,his personal life doesn't concern us.
Luxembourg's prime minister is homosexual,so ?

PS ; Don't you think there are LGBT persons in the muslim world ? But how many would dare to come out of the closet when homosexuality is punished by years of imprisonment or even death penalty ?

why blame women for men inability ? same argument is given in case of rape by rapist that they were aroused by the victim.
Will the absence of women will make men pious ? How do you know they will not be aroused already by presence of women outside the mosque?
I was not expecting this from you. seriously :(

You don't know the concept of having a 'Masjid' do you?
There are reasons other than mere offering prayer to it. This is not a 'feminist' thing to have seperate places for women, this is more of a culture in Islam.
And same goes for a man, the going up and down. You are not exclusive.

I don't actually care if you yourself are LGBT. Your post is comprised of bullshit in the latter part. It is good that you are tolerant towards LGBT and it is good to finally elect a president or prime minister who is of that orientation. Why mind it? You should do it now.

There is no concept of being born a homosexual in Islam, these are relatively newer concepts so this is how it is. And the practice is discouraged.

Places of worship are not for being aroused. It is not the Church of Satan that could have a nude mass gathering. There are codes followed in places of worship, each according to their own belief.
