Hehe
Buddhism itself is an offshoot of Hinduism.
try harder, you are still failing :D
this is 1423 bangla year- meaning we are celebrating bangla culture from 1423 years ago

the general people are now in fear that the country’s rich cultural heritage like Jari, Sari and Bhatiali songs and also Jatrapala could gradually become entirely extinct in the future

Since when these things became Bangladeshi??? o_O

The country’s cultural activists and figures concerned have for the past few years been saying that no Bangladeshi TV channel is aired in India

They are.....they just don't find the audience here because of poor quality. :)

whereas Bangladeshi audience literally die for watching Indian programmes. In doing so, they are also being compelled to watch Indian commercials.

That's because of the superior quality of Indian programmes. :)

it has also been creating a huge market for Indian goods and fashion wares.

Understandably Indian goods and fashion wares are also better than Bangladeshi stuff. :)

“Indian culture will surely dominate us if we ourselves are eager to watch their programmes. My question is why we ourselves take interest in their programmes? I would say this is one of our shortcomings due to love for alien culture.”

That's your problem, not ours. We didn't force you to watch our programmes. :pleasantry:

Indian soap operas dominate Bangladeshi households

Booooohoooooooooooo!!! :sarcastic:

Indian soap operas are in great demand among Bangladeshi girls and housewives as they mostly watch those as they have nothing to do at home other than watching TV.

That's sexist as well as demeaning to the women homemakers.

the people are more inclined to watch Indian programmes because of lack of healthy entertainment programmes in the country,”

We didn't stop you from making quality programmes, did we? :)

“Adverts are aired during breaks. This means the soap operas involve commercial plans,” he adds.

Do you buy tickets to watch soap operas in TV? They earn from adverts......this is so lame!!

In addition to Indian TV channels, Bollywood films have almost monopolistic influence upon the Bangladeshi audience as most of the youngsters prefer those cinemas to Bangladeshi ones.

Bangladeshi youngsters just don't want to watch stuffs like "Poot koira dimu", so they watch better quality Bollywood films. :P

On Facebook, Bangladeshi youths are seen using images of Indian cinemas or TV programmes as their profile pictures.

It's their free will, what can we do if they don't want to keep those ladyboy looking Bangladeshi heroes' pictures as their profile pictures? :P

Mentioning the growing influence of Indian films in Bangladesh’s entertainment arena, popular artiste Raisul Islam Asad says this cannot be checked in this age of globalization if we fail to produce quality works then there would be demand for others’ quality production here.

“We should inspect why the people are more eager to watch Indian cinemas because we cannot force someone to stop watching those,” he tells thereport24.com.

“Besides, those who work in the field of entertainment and cinema, they must produce works that are able to attract the youngsters. Only by doing so we can ensure a change in the existing state of our cinema industry,” he explains.

This guy seems to be the only sensible Bangladeshi specimen existing in that part of the world. :)

Uhhh....it is an uphill task to drill senses in Bangladeshi heads...someone somewhere always acting weird like a crybaby. We are not responsible for your shortcomings brothers, stop blaming us for e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g ! ! ! ! ! :)

How do you Bangladeshis like Splitsvilla ?

Jokes aside i fail to see what is the real issue here is it the influence of indian dresses on locals or popularity of India serials?

Unfortunately if Bangladeshis don't want to wear Indian dresses, then they might have to try Kimono, their men can try Scottish checkered skirts!! :P

That's strange.
Just 60 years back your country shared the same culture as our's. How can one forget their roots?

Bengali culture is Indian culture which you just happen to share.

Yeah. The same as @Rain Man 's , who is an Indian. And how different is Bengali culture from rest of India's? Its the same. :)

Actually we Indian Bengalis have shaped and defined the 'Bengali culture' as you see today, everything Bangladeshis claim is their Bengali culture was borrowed from us. That's why Jamatis want to get rid of the Bengali culture. :)

no, way different; from language to almost everything and @Rain Man is less Bengali :D

It's we who decide what is Bengali culture. So if Bangladeshis are different, then they are not Bengali. :D

That's because of the superior quality of Indian programmes. :)

OK you lost me there  . Whilst Indian stuff maybe popular in bangladesh the quality of Indian serials is just atrocious . There is a reason why Bollywood celebs and Indian women are hooked to Zee Zindage now Watching our Serials .:D

Its other way around... bangladeshi craze for everything Indian creates market for Indian products.

Bangladeshi youngsters just don't want to watch stuffs like "Poot koira dimu", so they watch better quality Bollywood films. :P

It's their free will, what can we do if they don't want to keep those ladyboy looking Bangladeshi heroes' pictures as their profile pictures? :P

We love poot koira dimu. :bunny:

Well tell that to your population and celebrities who are fond of our serials and now have a dedicated channel to Pakistani serials. While bollywood movies can be good at times , Indian serials are bad beyond imagination. Justin beiber is popular doesnt mean he is good just saying.

There is some reason why they see Indian goods as better. May be advertising also influences as DTH's have footprints covering Bangladesh, Lanka and Pakistan. They are illegally selling set top boxes in these countries.
