Why does Vietnam lag so far behind China, despite similar cultures and political systems?

BTW, Japan is certainly not Qin, that's for sure.

That's not the point; the point was that the great Zhou was known for her elegance and grandeur , power of culture that influenced the lesser kingdoms during China's Sengoku Jidai. Even the great Kings of Zhou were more resplendent than the poor and barbaric kings of Qin.

Yet the Qin had guile, and formed crafty alliances to counter the power of Zhou. That is why the great city of Chengzhou , the capital of Zhou was sacked and burned to the ground. And the Qin Shi Huang Di had killed the King Hui of Zhou on while sitting on the golden throne of Zhou.

Even a peasant can humble the great, my friend.

Find the moral lesson in that.

Zhou precedes Qin by many centuries, and it was not overthrown by Qin.

Qin sacked the capital of Zhou , my friend. I suggest you read the Chinese Sengoku Jidai again.

Yup. Qin had the most advance weaponry and war tactics at the time of the seven nations. Japan can only dream about that.

Any other East Asian nations in front of China is like a toddler.

China's ancient wisdom is so advanced and complicated, that's why they can never truly grasp it.

Yet that East Asian nation had conquered huge swathe of China, while China could never conquor than 'toddler' nation. In fact Chinese never stepped foot on Japanese soil , ever.

The last time was when the Mongol Yuan came, and well, it didn't really go to well for them did it?

lol

Zhou was already split.

BTW, Japan doesn't have any wisdom from Qin.

Your WWII performance was abysmal, and you were by far the weakest colonial power, only ranked along with Italy.

Today, all Manchus are Chinese, and most Mongols are also Chinese.

China is never interested about Japan's land.

China is always the central kingdom of the East Asia, period.

1. Actually one of the founders of the Yamato Dynasty was the nephew of Qin Shi Huang Di. lol.

2. Italy couldn't even conquer Ethiopia. You are comparing Italy with Japan? lol. No offense to our Italian friends.
-- ps. i love italian people, italian food, and well, mama mia bella bambina! the italian ladies, too, lol.
--pps. so yea, no offense here.

1. No genetic test to prove it, no one gonna believe it.

2. The China you fought during the WWII was barely any different from the African countries, and China at that time cannot produce a single bullet. But just look today, you need to hide behind Uncle Sam.

lol, you're so cute. why are we fighting? let's just agree to disagree, my East Asian peer.

Vietnam's economy is a joke.

Even developing countries like Thailand and Indonesia have the ability to manufacture over a million vehicles a year. Seriously, what does Vietnam even make?

Any rhetoric about Vietnam being a military or industrialized power is completely premature. Catch up to your Southeast Asian neighbors first.

Just tell me ... U.S, Japan and Philippines which is better capitalism ? Nobody give u the promise certain political system can make u rich, Capitalism or Communism ? Democracy or Concentration of power ? ... only depend on ur ppl to find the right way in ur home. Since 1890s Japanese found it, since 1949 Chinese found it, since 1988 Korean found it ...

Your social study books may tell you differently. In America, it is very different. Live in US and you will understand. Also, US is not like Canada and vice versa. Both are different in terms of political powers. In Canada the PM has more power while in the US the President has less.

Ideas, creativity and innovations are promoted in the US. People getting rich in the US because they have talents not because of their father who is in power with the government.

Dude, the democracy won't come to Vietnam when VCP has been overthrown, only the plutocracy will rule over Vietnam again.

Only the traitors within VCP can destroy the party, and those traitors will soon install the plutocracy in your country.

Maybe for China. When people see prosperity, they will accept that as a new norm.

Yes, my cousins and uncles left the south in the 1980s Vietnam due to persecution from government. Their family have been there since the 50s.

You a halfer?

Nonsense as they already left in the 80s.

I think i have to argue with that. I believe we are similar that majority of overseas Vietnamese against the VCP and not the Vietnamese people. Let's be specific. However, ignorance is a dominance force for Northern Viet nothing to do with the people but everything to do with its government and leadership.

Most probably took advantage of the American or Canadian refugee processes , yes? They probably claimed Vietnamese persecution as catalyst and nationality declared was: Vietnamese.

This is the reason why there's close to 3 million Vietnamese in the United States and close to some 2 million in Canada.

:)

2 millions in US and about 200,000 in Canada.

Do you have family members working within the CCP?

Nobody ever stepped foot on Aboriginal Australian soil either prior to the arrival of the British. That doesn't make the Aboriginals amazing warriors. It just makes them a bunch of losers that hid on an island.

At the height of the Mongol Empire's power (Yuan Dynasty) they had 40 tumen (400,000 Mongol cavalry) under their control. This was the greatest land-based fighting force the world had ever seen at the time. The Mongols already subjugated the entire Asian continent with far less forces. But with the wealth and resources of China under their control, Mongol power arguably reached its pinnacle under the Yuan Dynasty.

After Ming forces got through with the Mongols, only 6 tumen managed to retreat to the steppe. They lost 34 tumen to the Ming. This was the same fighting force that conquered all of Asia, utterly destroyed by the Chinese.

The Ming Dynasty Yongle Emperor personally led five military campaigns to kill Mongols LOL.

China has fought wars and faced hardship that Japan could only dream of while squatting on your tiny islands. But it is this very evolutionary pressure that has allowed China to remain on top for thousands of years.

Japan has never fought any real wars.

The 'China' that Japan fought during WWII was a shadow of its former self. It would be like me waiting for Muhammad Ali to develop Parkinson's and then beating him up with a baseball bat.

China had Parkinson?

Nope, CPC is technocrat, not plutocrat.

When you have a technocratic party to manage a third world nation, you will get China.

With a plutocratic system, you will get India.

Do you have family members working within the CCP?

None of them.

China had Parkinson?

The old China prior to 1949 had 'Parkinson', that why she got bullied by a third rate colonial power like Japan.
