Pakistan military ranked 11th strongest in world.

Lol........No way is Israel's military below india or Japan. Reality is they're number 3. But then again, the chosenites are only good at killing babies, women and defenceless old people.Perhaps the ranking has taken that into account.

And yet we cant do anything against a country like Afghanistan who regularly hosts anti Pakistan elements and give them a save heaven.

No need to. The Afghans are doing a good job of bombing themselves senseless. We don't need the headache also.

India's attack helicopter score is very low @ 0.19. That is massively going to improve with 22 (+likely future 39) Apaches and about 180 LCHs (already ordered).

Pakistan military has been ranked as the 11th strongest military in the world, as per a Credit Suisse report on globalisation.

Ranked seven spots after India’s military, the report gives Pakistan a final military strength score of 0.41. Further, the report reveals that Pakistan’s active personnel number stands at 710,000 and has it more weaponry than Germany, Australia, and Canada.

The report ranks the strength of 20 countries according to weaponry, including tanks, aircraft, helicopters and submarines, each country represents.

The US is listed as number one followed by Russia, China, Japan and India in the top five.

The report said, “Our analysis reveals the military superiority of the United States in conventional war capabilities compared to its close rivals. Its fleet of 13,900 aircraft, 920 attack helicopters, 20 aircraft carriers and 72 submarines far outweighs the military might of any of its close rivals and so does its defense spending worth $610 billion in 2014, which is far more than the combined military expenditures of the next nine countries in our index.”

“In reality, in today’s nuclear era, conventional forces are not the only indicator of military strength. Russia and the United States account for more than 90% of global inventories of nuclear weapons according to data provided by Stockholm International Peace Research Institute’s (SIPRI) Yearbook 2015,” it added.

From reading the comments by indians on PDF regularly, I'm surprised india wasn't ranked number 1.

This is what some countries want so they can have reason to intervene from West of Pakistan.

And have a permanent enemy at both fronts. Although the idea of strategic depth has been some what relinquished by our policy makers . We still cant afford a hostile Afghanistan. The number of troops on the eastern front has been reduced by 180k , because of the operations in the western front. Having Nuclear weapons doesn't win you a proxy war. Furthermore , striking afghanistan ,while US and ISAF are still present will bring a number of diplomatic consequences ,which at this crucial time we cant afford.
Afghanistan is already hostile and an enemy country in case you haven't noticed. They have been so since the birth of Pakistan. The only country who not only refused to accept Pakistan but attacked it as well. As for USAF and ISAF they are not going to do a thing as they want a peaceful exist which cannot happen without Pakistan. Our soft policy needs to end. Its high time we show Afghanistan if they continue to host people like Fazal ullah, there is going to be a high price.

So, Turkey South Korea, India and Italy are better ??? :blah::blah::blah:
Indians must be like :victory::chilli:

Finally their military gets appreciation

Its more like lack of political will rather than lack of military capability.
I dont believe our Afghan and Indian policy is lead politically. Army chief is the one in charge. So let's not blame political weakness as a reason for this soft policy.

Gen Raheel has totally changed the perception of Military involvement in any issue. Gen Kiyani had time and again been calling for political owner ship of military actions but cud not make it happen. Gen Raheel did it totally opposite.Military is suppose to have say in any issue related to India and Afghanistan and as a matter of fact any foreign country and the SAY would be bigger if political forces are just sleeping over it and only military is at work. Having said so cross border ops can never be taken without the consent of Govt as this is a whole new Foreign Relations Level and Gen Raheel would never like to see an NS again backing off at nth hour saying that he was not taken into confidence, just like he did during Kargil.

well said

Pakistan must be second to none in the region. India though shows more numbers but in actual wars numbers do not always matter. Its the strategy and moral courage that matters.
Sorry to say but the past wars analysis suggests that we also lack strategy and moral values in pakistani nations have gone to dogs.
In pakistan "sharif admi" is the one who doesn't get the oppurtunity

You fascinate me.

Could you provide some examples?

Yes, finally.

We were wasting away due to lack of appreciation. It was like a burning sensation in the guts. And the head. Not to mention the heels.

Military history is full of amazing feats, the greatest of these being when victory is achieved despite the odds being stacked against the winning side. These battles tell tales of determination and courage, leading to victories that no one thought possible.
The latest example is :
The Six-Day War, in response to Arab threats of invasion, Israel launched surprise air attacks which almost completely destroyed the Air Forces of Egypt, Jordan, and Syria, then launched a series of ground, air, and naval attacks which saw the capture of the Sinai from Egypt, the West Bank from Jordan, and the Golan Heights from Syria, and heavy Arab losses in personnel and material.

The Qur'an and bible reveal that The "God factor" is valid and applicable even now.

Lacking these values in our soldiers does not mean that they are not important or cannot be achieved. It just needs understanding it's importance, focus, commitment, and serious efforts to develope.
