Anti Tank Missile System Pakistan Army Should Consider

Dear friend as we all know as anti tank missiles evolve tank armor evolving too.

As far as i know pak army uses Tow anti tank and baktar shikan missiles in its arm these are very new as far as in our inventory but these becoming out dated too atleast baktar shikan if you compare them with LAHAT,JAVELIAN,SPIKE,KORNAT ETC

TOW is amongst the best i know but relying on just one type of anti tank is not wise baktar shikan is good but as far as my knowledge it might be useless against new tanks so we count on TOW.

with armour reactive, trophy class protection which india will get in future we should evolve too

Javelian uses two types of modes one it hit target from sides
other it hits tank from above turet of tank

India Uses KORNAT, SPIKE LAHAT on its tanks and other russian anti tank missiles

I think pakistan atleast consider Javelian or co develop with china which is atleast can destroy tanks with Trophy call protection i know easier said than done but we must start today to finish in few years

india didnt buy spike or even lahat.. and none of their tanks cant fire ATGMs apart from t-90s ...

HJ-12 is a new development from the Chinese. It definitely looks like a solid Top-attack ATGM system. Eventually Pakistan will buy it no doubt.

Some one saying exactly same thing which I have been saying on Facebook for months we need HJ-12 and also work with Turkey in developing a missing exactly like javeline

You can hit a tank with Trophy APS by simple RPG too. Just fire two shots with in 12 sec interval. Trophy cannot intercept 2 rockets simultaneously..... Also it don't work in rain...... ambush one it's raining and hope for best results.......

I think we not only need anti tank missiles that are ground launched but we need a potent platform in skies as well that can work in anti tank role. What I mean is we need something like Mi-28 or AH-1Z.

Thanx alog dear ur reply were awsome yes i agree with u we lack anti armour heli in sky even Viper are cant do this job which we are getting vipers are good against support role against infantry with hell fire i seriously doubg it


Pak army lacks as faf as i know baktar shiken we have which is like rpg for me nothinv against baktar shiken but it is outdated

Pak army entirely relying on TOW is not good option

Pak army should not buy tank right now they invest that money to buy atleast good powerfull ATGM of two different types and teplace G3A3 buy next gen gun for bravd sons of pak buy long range SAM system which we lack

Question can javelian destroy merkava with a mode which hit tanks turet from above

India uses kornet spike lahat etc

Merkava can fire Lahat from its 120 mm smoothbore gun can our AK fire any anti tank from its 125 mm gun

Brothers, Pakistan rules state of art ballistic missile technologies, developing own guided artillery missiles, air launchable and land attack cruise missiles. If a country has such sensitive capabilities to develop critical missile systems, Next step should not be to look for others' anti-tank missile systems. What Pakistani defence strategists should do is to either find a reliable partner for co-development or charge Pakistani missile manufacturer to develop a missile system which will be an equivalent of TOW or Javelin missiles under indigenous development project model.

So HJ-12 fits the bill and The Turkish OMTAS/UMTAS which has massive potential for pakistani needs.

from what i know the hj-12 contains some similarities of the mapats missile. but the most obvious difference is the hj12 has a seeker and mapats doesn't. but the body shape is very similar and also there are reports of china getting hold of some missiles. the hj-9 bears a even closer resemblance to the mapats missile.
