And why should there be a strong response from Pakistan? How strong has the Saudi response been whenever India caused a war with Pakistan?

Why would Saudi royals pick a fight with India ?

So no anger towards Pakistan military if they go ahead with this? All of a sudden Nawaz became more powerful then the military? You guys do see the hypocrisy here don't you? Anything good the military does, it's all because of the strong COAS but going to support Saudi Arabia, let's curse the PM.

what does NS control anyway ?

National security decisions are dictated by army.

Civilian issues are dealt with by government.

Power sharing.

these days national security is too broad a term

that's the best we can do in this situation .... a very 'balanced understatement' with tons of meaning.
Same response which plmn gov. Gave during first gulf war. No chance of Pakistan sending troops inside Yemen for fighting.

Pakistan will be sending ground troops to be stationed within Saudi cities, similar to what pak did during first gulf war.

With saudia, turkey Jordan, uae, Kuwait Bahrain egypt morocco sudan and Qatar on one side supporting the Yemen gov., and only iran on other side supporting the Yemen rebels.

Pakistan's response is quite obvious that it stands with the majority.

Are you saying Pakistani shias cannot think for themselves and do not value their lives?

I'm saying that Pakistanis have had huge difficulties in the past trying to combat the menace of sectarianism and that there were enough sell-outs within our ranks, from both sects, who brought about enormous misery on Pakistan and Pakistanis. Therefore whatever decision we make should be meticulously thought out.

Why in the world does Pakistan needs to help Saudi?? and Why does Pakistan gov and army issuing statements like this??

Every unpopular decision is Nawaz fault but when it's time to give credit, we have a great COAS. Sometimes I feel it has become a trend in Pakistan to hate the PM. Want few likes, hate on the PM.

essentially a police force with tanks and machine guns

Sir,first of all, iran should get this into their brain that Middle east doesn't belong to them. They just can't support the houthis rebels because they are shia.Iran is the state of the people of iran. They are not responsible for every shia in the world.

Our Pakistani shia doesn't look toward iran for support but if still iran start sectarian funding in Pakistan,We will reply them.

For the time being, ignore them and support the coalition.Middle east doesn't belong to Iran

Wrrora, I am not saying that the Middle East belongs to them; I'm simply saying that this Arab-Persian rivalry which is sectarian in nature may end up with the same blood-shed that Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Lebanon etc. faced in the past and the present. So whatever decision we make we should do so after carefully thinking the consequences of our actions through.

Relax gentleman it's the other Sharif wh has to make the decision.

And Going against MQM/Taliban are also NS decision:lol:....grow up!
Yea NS placed his son or even his personal army (you know the ones who tag along and beat people for saying anything against his ganjaness or steal his guava ) against MQM / Taliban that he sweeps all the credit?

When did credit go to COAS? He hogged it all for himself! Leader knows how to lead and knows how to appreciate his team...This thing we call PM is more like a boss (which wont lead us but rule us) ...And the way people jump up and fall down in front to take the bullet of criticisms for him is already evidence enough!

Hi Darth. off topic, but u live in oslo?
nei ikke nå , use to live in tøyen og moss but em here in UK for few months my mom she lives here and now she got really sick so now em here to take care of her . Will be back ASAP as she gets better

du bor i oslo ?

Technically we must not poke our nose in this; they already have enough support from Turkey and others. And we already have enough of Saudi crap to clear.

But of course because of Iran's involvement (behind the scenes) many will jump in to help Saudia. Now we see Saudia coming back to daddy which is a kind reminder to some of the biased Saudis and hybrid Pakistani members here.

want to participate in the Gulf-led military coalition against Huthi rebels who have seized large swathes of Yemen.
Wonder what made us want to leave our own cleaning up and jump into a new set of chaos? Are our men that cheap that we keep them constantly in line of fire??? While India preps the border PM thinks it wise to sell our fleet?

Getting into Saudi mess will be a huge mistake on part of Pakistan. We must stay away from this. I fully support to send our troops for the defense of the holy cities but to fight in Yemen alongside Saudis, no way.
Yea most likely Saudis will use our men as shield! Those people arent used to tough situations!

Neutrality is not an option in this case dear. Its like either you are with Saudi, Egypt, uae, Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar or you are with TTP like insurgency in Yemen by houthi rebels.

Obviously no Pakistani gov. Can deny request for saudi help. But definitely Pakistan should not do it the manner like afghan war.

Pakistan role and support should be ceremonial and defence consultancy
