K
It's great with 16x Brahmos
But does it fit our pocket ?
why not you economy is progressing plus India and Vietnam could jointly develop in your shipyards as our naval shipyards already full with orders.

I am confident that even kh 31 and kh 35 or yakhont would be enough for short term

Sigma class is good choice. I think the deal is under discussion.

SIGMA came with so much version, so there is always possibility they can fit large VLS such as MK41 and Yakhont or Brahmos VLS

The only possible i can believe, it's removing front CIWS and install Brahmos VLS at the higher position coz Brahmos length is longer, and might occupy some space of MICA VLS cells ... so with Brahmos VLS but without anti-aircraft VLS-lauched missiles. :D

JAKARTA, April 28, 2011 (UPI) -- Indonesia has test fired a Russian-made Yakhont anti-ship missile during naval exercises in the Indian Ocean, Indonesia's Antara news agency said.
The missile, with a NATO code name SS-N-26, was launched from the Van Speijk Class frigate Oswald Siahaan and took 6 minutes to cover 155 miles and destroy a target vessel.
Displacement: 2,200 tons standard, 2,850 tons full load
Length: 113.4 m (372 ft)
Beam: 12.5 m (41 ft)
Draught: 5.8 m (19 ft)

The successful launch was the first test by Indonesia's navy of its Yakhont missiles, and a long time coming, a senior officer said.

"The target ship was hit and sank," navy spokesman Rear Adm. Iskandar Sitompul said. "We bought these missiles a long time ago and have finally tested them."

you can place it near hangar deck and or replacing the usual yet conventional AShM position in the midship and replace it with Yakhont or Brahmos VLS, Sigma is a modular ship they may came in many variants according to customer taste and preferential to suit their requirements and doctrinal per se.

Leio misreading, my quote for Kolkata or Shivalik.
Anyway, Indonesia showed us Yakhont, Brahmos could be adapted to even 1960s old frigate under 2,800 tons.

Sure, we folllowing Indonesia to order and build Sigma-class in our country. Next we would arrange its modules, enlarge the hull for our own purposes.

Vietnam has been cooperating well with Damen for several years. Don't worry.
This is also their design DN-2000 , and we built them in mass.

There're some humors about next warships designs for Vietnam Navy.
Also there're demonstration of France, South Korea, UK ... frigates, even destroyers. Don't forget Japan and India nice ships.

Let's make our analysis for which is suitable to Vietnam need, including the intergrated weapon system.

please post specs and compare with turkish , chinese/pak frigates of relatively same displacement

LOL ... :pop:

BrahMos missile lenght: 8.4 m, Navy version VLS system must be longer than it.
1. It's impossible to install a >8.4m BrahMos VLS in the midship, coz under the conventional AShM position there's Engine Room(Yellow section) & Ventilation Pipes no any more space.

2. It's possible to install near hangar deck ... but i doubt might BrahMos VLS to replace the hangar.
3. It's possible to install BrahMos VLS at the front of Sigma, but removing CIWS & VLS-lauched MICA missiles.

Here's the Indian Navy's DDG launched BrahMos VLS ... near helicopter deck but no hangar or there's a telescopic hangar.
