MHD in a submarine, that is a new and brilliant idea. the only thing using MHd is the American B-2, and it is flying , not submerged.
China will open a new world of Submarine technology with this.

It will work, few years ago China had built 1st commercial maglev train from ShangHai airport to ShangHai city. Now the problem is how to make the MHD device smaller and more durable, can inside next-gen 4,500ton MHD submarine.

If future success, the MHD engine will be the most silent

Someone revealed that we use 甲, 乙, 丙, etc to name subsequent improved/new models. It was said that the Americans didn't get it for some years and misjudged our sub development.

Great job to our scientist & engineers in developing the MHD sub! We must have more silent hunters in the ocean.

If 10 CX-1 missiles where fitted behind the sail as in the Amur-950 Design, this would give another layer of capability
(also If CX-1 missiles where developed further like the Brahmos was developed into the Shourya/Sagarika Missile, this would solve Pakistan's need for a strategic submarine with a common advanced chinese submarine design)

3 Fitted with 10 CX-1 derivative Strategic missiles and 3 without that section, and a total of 6 submarines would be acquired at a relatively affordable price and give a whole new level of capability, while keeping maintenance costs low, and keep the enemy guessing if its a conventionally armed attack sub or a nuclear missile armed silent conventional sub, externally only difference would be the length of the hull

Chinese scientist should use great Chinese scholars and generals to name other ships, not numbers to further confuse them.
