What's new

The Strategy which is still effectively working even after two hundred years

Rg Veda had been by hearted by the priests for centuries. That's why it is also called Shruti (The one you have to remember only by hearing). So, it is almost impossible to guess the time of origin. Apart from some clay tablets from the Bokhozkoi archives no objective evidences had not been unearthed till now.

When are tablets dated? If the tablet is not contemporary to the record it was recording, its not first hand source.

1. They are overwhelmingly in Southern India

2. Bullshit. This is the complete opposite of what the scientific literature says. I'll be waiting for the studies in support of this argument though.

3. I agree.

My support of Aryan Invasion is held by more linguists and geneticists than those who do not. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

.

so pretty much your ultimate aim was to possess an ancient culture for the whites. Understood.

When are tablets dated? If the tablet is not contemporary to the record it was recording, its not first hand source.

I am just curious as to your motive for continuing the discussion. I have my guess, but I want to see it.

I want to know how Indian history is recorded. And what part is fact and what part is not properly recorded so it cannot be regarded as facts.

The tablets are dated early 1400 B.C. Apart from this, some of the Kassite princes had Aryan names in between 1800-1200 B.C.

Yes, Watson, back me up :D

That's not what I was asking. I was asking you why do you ant to push on the point as you said Indian culture is from the 'outside.'

I don't know about the historical record of India so I want to learn. I learn lots from @scorpionx. Why don't you share with me what you know instead of talking about me.

So if the tablets are dated at early 1400BC, is that before the time of "Aryan invasion"?

Because it is simple. You troll Indians. And you have a history of racial belittlement of Indians as well.

Now either you reveal your actual motive, or I presume why you are in agreement with that Millenium guy.

Pretty much to get your race supremacy jollies on.

As scriptural evidences suggests and if we try to reconcile it with the genetic results the migration started around 5000 to 4000 BC. Around this time most possibly, the common stock (Who were predominantly male)started migrating in different direction.

There is a reason why guys like Millenium and Faithfulguy expounds the aryan invasion theory. To prove that Indians are nothing more than slaves to put it bluntly.

There is a reason why faithfulguy also parrots 'India is a British invention' theory. To folks like them, Indians are, and always will be an inferior, servile people. @faithfulguy has made statements to that effect many times.

As I said before, India's success depends on being an Inclusive society ourselves. Sure, it is fun to learn about our history, but history should be consigned to a place.

We should ensure that theories like this are not used to rob the dignities of any people in India.

We are plenty racists to ourselves, don't need more half baked ammunition.

Think about it, in large continents, or land masses, migraton or even invasions are common. New cultures emerge.

There is something to be said about people who are too hung upon the racial details of our history.

You had one language in China, why did democracy failed to unite Han Chinese as one people during 1912-1949, instead China was warring states no united government. Mao Zedong had to unite China with iron fist.
mate china is still not united. look at taiwan and mainland. Look at their govts. and politics and culture.
China is never a united nation more of a artificial nation to which Mao gave a shape

The fact that Sanskrit's closest relative are ancient Iranian languages are prove enough.

I saw studies of how Brahmins

The complex phonology of Vedic Sanskrit is extremely alien to Ancient Iranian language. So, now you assumed Sanskrit came from outside India. :girl_wacko:

@Ravi Nair

If the intention is such and such, I will leave after refuting them with datas. Eighteenth Century Westerners did try to put forth this "Invasion Theory" to prove their racial supremacy but that was much before the excavation of the Indus valley remains in the 20's. We can prove quite convincingly how this civilization was continued in the later vedic civilizations in terms of architecture, religious beliefs and small industries. You can not fight with back dated ideas for a long.

2. That's because even today in India, it's much more difficult for a man to move up the caste hierarchy than a woman through marriage. This translates into greater percolation of Y-DNA than mt-DNA from the higher castes to the lower castes. Also, have you seen the features of many of southern Brahmin groups? Here's a useful link: See how South Indian Brahmins have a lower % of European genes in comparison to North Indian Jatts.
