Why the time for a China-India water treaty is now

India does not honor such treaties with Pakistan and Bangladesh. Why would China be bothered to have such treaty with India?

The rivers are in China's territory. It's totally up to China how to make the best use of the water.

Could you name an instance? Based on facts, not on the statements of fanboys who do not even know where the locations are?

Exactly right.

Your countrymen from the Youth delegation are clearly far more civilized and well-mannered than any of the Indians on this forum.

It would be tough deciding where to place the "civilized and well-mannered" sticky label on either one of those categories. Only a select handful here deserves the sticky label.

Three smarting and humiliated Chinese posters, saying the same thing in unison, sound three times as silly as one Chinese poster.

That's funny, since it was actually YOU who ran away from the discussion about your Youth delegation, and instead started the personal attacks, which are continued in the post above. :azn:

Indians, you reap what you sow. You have been taking Pakistani water for some time now .

how does this feels my Indian friends-- no water from China huh:cheers:. We feel something similiar when Tessta, Brahmaputra, Farrakha Dam comes to our mind.

hehehe, oi bangla, do you know who will suffer most if Brahmapautra waters dont come inside India ?

It's you.

Our North East has abundant rainfall and plenty mountain streams to take care of our water needs..but Bangladesh...bussssss..

Look at these civilized people of the country who call each other Dogs and Locusts

Hong Kong and the mainland: Dogs and locusts | The Economist

And the face eater Zombies roam free on the roads, yet they gloat a million times for a small incident which they could have easily reported to delegation head.

Who dares not to agree with you kind Sir? For we are clearly not as smart as the smartlings here and there representing your country, hence we are so humiliated.

They truly are INdia's cream of the crops and you must be their dear guardian.

Presumably the long pause is due to the frantic search for the names of the treaties, so that you can respond. It is fairly certain that you have no idea about them, except the vague and general hope that there are treaties, and that some kind of transgression can be proved.

Perhaps in such cases a hint is in order.

There is one treaty governing inter-state waters between India and her neighbours, exactly one. It is the Indus Waters Treaty between India and Pakistan. India has scrupulously maintained her obligations under the terms of this treaty. If you have heard a great commotion from foolish, ill-educated and ill-informed quarters, it is because of two reasons: some Pakistanis feel they should have got more, and cannot reconcile themselves to the consequences of an agreement arrived at in a peaceful conference; second, others have heard that a dam is being built up-river and have convinced themselves that a dam would cut into their share of the water. Unfortunately, they know nothing about the nature of the dam, its objectives and its consequences to Pakistan.

For the second, a run-of-the-water hydro plant is being set up, which does not take away any water from the flow of the river. There is NO diversion or reduction of water. Period.

So next time you open up about treaties that we have broken, kindly do your homework first, or....oh, never mind, just do your homework.

Not at all.

There are much better people than I and much better people than they. They are sometimes unable to cope with the kinds of logic you use, and may need an occasional prompt. That does not make me their guardian, especially when our political views differ so sharply. But that is the essence of a democratic system. As Chairman Deng put it, democracy is still a goal, an apparently distant goal, for the Chinese Republic. You chose growth and prosperity, and good luck to you. We chose democracy, and free speech, with our eyes open. So you take your road and we will continue on our road. If you cannot behave in a civilized manner towards Indians on the forum, you do so as a matter of choice. The effects are due to that choice.

Live with it.

So, too, Chinese people in real life are much better than you have shown yourselves to be.

Not at all.

The behaviour of that delegation has nothing to do with this topic. That is all.

When we go off topic, not everybody goes off topic in a uniform manner. When we stay on topic, everyone is discussing the same thing.

Sayeth the one who is from a country so religiously diversified that they cannot even handle one more Christian?

Thanks to Miami for starting off the trend.

yet they gloat a million times for a small incident which they could have easily reported to delegation head.

It is clear that report button was not present at the time. Even if there is, we are clearly too dumb to use it.
Thankfully the media around the world is doing a great job in raising this "small" issue to the public.

Care to let us know who that one Christian is?

Chinese copying habit is never dying, it seems, but wouldn't you be using that immense IQ of yours to figure out, if a thing is really worth to copy.. Sad to see such a waste of IQ!!

You can still press the report button if you feel so bad about it.. India also sent a demarche to China when it's diplomat was mistreated by civilized Chinese.. you can do the same..

Agreed.

We chose democracy, and free speech, with our eyes open. So you take your road and we will continue on our road.

Shame that free speech doesn't go hand in hand with free hearing.

If you cannot behave in a civilized manner towards Indians on the forum, you do so as a matter of choice. The effects are due to that choice.

The pot is obviously still very shinny on your side.

So, too, Chinese people in real lifeare much better than you have shown yourselves to be.

We are just as real as they are to me and you. I guess the term "freedom of speech" really only applies to you Indians and if applied by others it quickly becomes the lactose in the milk upsetting your stomach.

Care to let us know who that one Christian is?

Key word for you is "anti Christian violence", go work your magic fingers on Google. Surely, it can't be too hard.

Copy and make beats failing to copy, buy and calling it indigenous. Having the IQ's to waste beats not having any to spare anyday.

We are not Indians and we have our ways. Do we really have you copy you? Mind you, we are very picky at what and who we copy from
