Iran-India to build gas pipeline through sea to save transit fee

Does indian AC goes underwater to guard pipeline?

Fun aside, even if pipeline built, would untimate cost would justify?

You are damm funny. We have 100+ warships on west side. Forget about east side. Aircraft carrier is just one of them.

We have spy satellite and radar to keep an eye. We will be operating 3 CBG before project starts operating. India will be 2nd country to operate 3 CBG after USN. Also, We have a base in Oman too.

I must say thats a very good route...Miles from any countries territorial waters...Good development..
I hope Qatar also exports their Gas through the same pipeline...

We are Buyer and not Seller. Iran and Oman will be pissed off with multi billion $ loss. India can only buy huge quantity through pipeline from Iran.

You don't even basic knowledge of capability. We have such technology.

How people will go under water, that also bottom which is 1,000 Km away ?? There are large bases with al radars and many warships/Petrol ships to guard in Arabian sea.

Pakistan navy ?? you must be kidding.

It's next to impossible. Even if i assume, Let Pakistan cut the pipe, Iran will reply. We are not selling and making money. We are buying.

Give us a heads up if you are you planning to dive 2000 mtrs below sea level to destroy the pipeline..we will send our condolences.

BTW under sea pipleine minus the transit cost will cost the less than one over land over a period of 25 yrs.

Not to mention it frees us from Pakistani black mailing. Also India could act as the gas hub reselling or transferring gas to Far Eastern countries.

Is destroying a undersea pipeline easier than say destroying one passing over land(as is the case with IP pipleine) ...one which can targeted by missiles from thousands of miles away.

It may take 20,30 or 40 years but the fact of the matter is you are 'not invited' and you will not get a 'piece of the action'.

This is a very sensible move, the initial costs may be expensive but transit fee to Pakistan will be eliminated. If the Qatar-UAE pipeline can be linked to this, economies of scale can be achieved. I'm sure dangers to environment and impact of cyclones has been considered before putting out such a proposal. Maybe in the long-run, gas from Caspian Sea and Turkmenistan can also be connected to this pipeline route via Iranian territory, thereby completely bypassing ****** region. This may even encourage a GCC crude oil pipeline along the same route connecting to India. Didn't the Europeans go round the African continent to bypass the Ottoman Turks to reach Asia and reap the benefits of it for many centuries? It may sound like a pipe-dream today, but such things get done only if we are able to dream about it.
