Pakistan hopes MBS will make brief stopover

Under the cabal or cartel if you like it is a dead duck in the water....The Saudis know this well.
I am here to disagree

If uncle sam is okay with hybrid setup then everyone else will be

In that case if pakistan offers a good deal for Saudis(not for pakistanis) then surely investment will come.

Best reinvention example is Qatari investment..it was too good deal to refuse

I will be surprised if no investment comes as seems army chief is ready to full compromise on national interest for foreign investment

Well Army + PDM teaspoons … as expected MBS didn’t even stop over ….

Lololol

Please educate us again how you will get $25B from KSA ?

I mean seriously you clowns could not even get one thing right

The Pakistani military has been making fools of the low IQ Pakistanis since inception....

We should sent Pakistani students to both the "West' and to China for higher education.

Nobody will come back to the rotten toilet!... Lol

I am thinking what will Asim offer Saudis?

Steel Mill, Airports, Ports, PIA, Agriculture land, mining contracts at throw away prices?

A few billion dollars to park in forex reserves.

The investments with which organic growth of a country can be achieved will not be forthcoming.

Asim is just selling a pipe dream, trying to hold the interim government together until he can find a plan.

Given the situation in Pakistan, no one will invest unless they are offered mouth-watering deals. This has been true under almost all Pakistani regimes after the Cold War ended. Things might have seemed superficially better under Musharraf because of American blood money being pumped into the economy.

The scenario will be the same or worse if PMLN, PPP or PTI are in power. The interim government does not have to fight the next election, so they can take some painful but necessary decisions that neither Imran Khan nor Shahbaz Sharif had the courage to take.

@ padi

You analysis is as good a clerk talking about making complex financial proposals

It could still happen. But these days more likely he will stopover in Iran.

Yes and pigs can fly ….

The world doesn’t want to invest in a country is ruled by thugs and the vast majority are hostile to it …

Two day State Visit to India

At the end of this G20 meeting, when India’s presidency ends, what does india have lined up for the rest of the year, or are all the major announcements, in connection with holding thee presidency, suppose to come in the next couple of days?

The Arab world rail corridors are the biggest deal expected, but anything else lined up?

Had anyone imagined 10/20 years ago that a day would dawn when Pakistan will be pleading with a Saudi monarch to step out his plane for an hour or two on his actual visit to India, and there to meet with Modi , exponent of Hindutva,

Much worse awaits Pakistan.

The Arabs consider their piss to be more worth than Pakistan/Pakistanis. Let's just say it how it is. I know how Arabs view Pakistan LOL

Whiskey won't get any time from MBS. Whiskey doesn't even get any time from his American sponsors.

The G20 Presidency is just ceremonial. The only advantage it offers is hosting rights and the responsibility to compose the joint declaration, which will be abstract even in the best case.

None of the projects being discussed involve all G20 nations. The reason they are being talked about is because there will be other meetings on the sidelines to discuss them since most of the G20 leaders are present at one place. Announcements will be made based on progress in the various discussions with the relevant partners.

The elite of the country are actually doing it to themselves. They have a large population, in Pakistan, of basically serfs, and haven’t figure out a way to earn foreign capital from them (by employing them in export earning industries) in a sustainable and growing manner.

South Korea copied some of pakistan’s plans from the 60s, but between then and the rise of Zia, it was basically a shortcut mindset to eat the seeds you have in hand then to plant them and grow an ever expanding garden.

When Deng came into power in China, he visited the East Asian tiger economies and realizes he had economies of scale, and used it to mend ties with the world only 20 years after the Korean War and just after the Vietnam war.

Part of what must be to blame is the game of musical chairs, different factions of the elite are competing with each other for “their share” of an ever shrinking pie.
