How Suburbs Destroyed America

Fine. But that is where you are wrong. Market value is irrelevant to those who WANT that little bit of land. That overpriced apartment? Can you eat off of it? The fact that you had to try to distinguish the minor differences between the Chinese suburb and that American suburb mean you failed to understand human nature. There is no shortage of articles in America telling Americans on how terrible is suburb life, and yet, yr after yr, the suburb continues to exist and even thrive. When I was stationed in the UK, villages are suburbs. When I was in Germany, same thing. Everyone get tire of that little apartment eventually.

What they fail to understand is that developers aren't stupid. If they saw a market of 100,000 people who wanted to move to a US city's downtown area then they would put up new buildings in a flash and grab an easy profit. Sure enough they do build those.

However they are ALSO building nice new houses in the suburbs.
I'm not sure why people aren't grasping the concept of supply and demand.

No use telling people they SHOULD be buying a red car versus a blue car. If they don't want it stop forcing the issue.

He is not alone, there are tons of related videos and articles come to the same conclusion that US suburbs are a ponzi scheme and are not self sustainable, go and check them out.

I live in a suburb founded in the early 1800's. When is this ponzi scheme supposed to crash?? It's over 200 years later!! What supposedly is going to go wrong that hasn't already gone wrong? Sure schools have been rebuilt...but I guarantee our schools are far newer than the schools in Boston..that's definitely for sure.

ha! I knew it!!
"The average school is 80-years-old — older than schools in most communities across the state."

The people who rant the loudest about the suburbs are usually Liberal city dwellers who can't even afford to fix their own damn problems and suddenly want us to be more like them...which is definitely the opposite of what we want to be.

City Liberals: Suburbs need more apartments to solve the housing crisis.
Suburbs: Your city has tons of old run-down buildings that can be handed to developers for FREE and torn down and have shiny new buildings in their place. You have absolutely zero excuse for homeless people wandering your streets.

City Liberals: Suburbs need more public transportation
Suburbs: Your city public transportation is a wreck. Try fixing yours first instead of asking us to build some. WTF?

City Liberals: People can't afford to live in your suburb without a car.
Suburbs: Well there's no shortage of people trying to live here. If you buy a ticket to go see a football game you shouldn’t be expecting to see a tennis match.

City Liberals: Your taxes are twice as much as they are in the city...this keeps people from buying homes in your suburbs.
Suburbs: Yeah, the tax difference is because we actually spend money to upkeep our towns while you do absolute sh*t with your half taxes. Your mantra is your residents should live for free or on the Government dole and should only get a slap on the wrist for criminal activity..while ours is we want people who actually care about their town, its upkeep, are happy to pay, aren't criminals, and aren't "Sanctuary City" border-jumping refugees sucking up tax money due to your stupid policies.

having to rely on public transportation doesn't quite fit the image of US suburbs.

ChatGPT made some PDFers here become a true bot.

It gives answers that will shutup most people from arguing a wrong point endlessly.

having to rely on public transportation doesn't quite fit the image of US suburbs.

..and when everybody switches to electric cars..which right now seems to be mostly happening in the suburbs...detractors wont be able to use the pollution excuse anymore.

I guess you also know ChatGPT makes lots of stupid mistakes, many of them have already become popular jokes in China.

Not as many stupid mistakes as the posters here on PDF who think they know reality. They point me to go look for myself in someplace like Google with a specific query and they are upset when I give them back answers they don’t want to hear…and of course complain about its accuracy.

From what i can see chinese cities also live in a sprawl - except instead of individual houses they have 7 or 8 long thin apartment buildings arranged in a block.

Like american these are also car centric with large boulevards around the block. The block itself may have few shops and restaurants but feels cut off from the rest of city.

From what i understand - chinese prefer it this way. They want these blocks so they can have greenery and privacy within them and they want their cars. And they resist every other attempt to bring more "vibrancy" etc.

Cities have better amenities, schools, hospitals, public parks, museums, restaurants, sports facilities, cheap but superb public transport networks... China invested so much in the cities and if you don't live in one, you feel like you can't enjoy a big share of your tax money the government spent on building up the cities. but most of all, people go after opportunities which most good ones can be only found in cities.

This is exactly why there is such a large difference in the standard of living in China of the people who live in the city vs not. In the US things are more spread out.

It was far more than that. Professor, researcher and author E Michael Jones wrote the book on the causes and culprits.

You don't have to buy the book. Here are videos telling the summary of the book.

The Washington Policy: Wreck your enemies neighborhoods in the cities with social engineering designed for conflict, designed to destroy ethnic cohesiveness and rewrite the history of it to make them more loyal to Washington. The same Washington that did covert warfare against these ethnic neighborhoods.

AI is retarded. lol

Everything in the book is documented. I own the book that was the OSS/CIA playbook to destroy Catholic power, where was the Catholic power - the book names the Catholic cities in the North, which vilified Catholics and said their stongholds are the northern cities.

The WASP "ruling class" was spooked by the Catholic dominated cities and the fact that these ethnic groups were more loyal to their own community than to the red, white and blue. The Catholic menace before the Chinese communist menace. Before the "Muslim threat".

Everything in the Dr. Jones book is factual. So the conclusions are factual.
