JF-17 Sale To Argentina Ensures Indian Agony Continues

While Pakistani media is quoting British defence journal as it's source for the subject news, but what can stop fake factory Patils to create their own version, surely Indians have pioneered other methods to cool their flaming backsides.

The news they have posted is from the Argentinian governments official site Under their Ministry of defense section. It says they have not confirmed the purchase of any fighter jet And are still considering 5 different options, this is because they are currently waiting for their government to release the budget of 2022, for which they have requested them to put 664 Million USD for fighters, So let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves either, JF is their favorite, but that Doesn’t mean they’ll get it. If anything this shows they still have other options (I assume mostly trainer aircraft)

Not sure what is big issue here, both Janes and British defence journal have confirmed this furthermore, the type and their quantity has also been disclosed.

We might be making fun of them right now but lets not forget, this obsession of theirs has killed 70,000 Pakistanis, USD130+ Billions in lost economy, and most recently, missed opportunity to revive Cricket in Pakistan. They may be desperate, repulsive, repugnant, miserable, but the millions of shots they take, one tends to stick and that one hurts us bad.

I would rather that Pakistan has a similar approach towards India. Consumed by hatred it maybe but at least we will damage India like it has damaged us.

I would take the word of the Argentinian government and ministry of defense over janes and BDF or whatever other defense reporters any single day. They can be wrong too. They rely on external data, in this case Argentinian media, which turned out to be false. The very reason the Argentinian government stepped in to make the correction that they had NOT picked any fighter for purchase yes was because of these fake news reports that started from Argentinian media and were then picked up by other sources. I know they want the JF, but that doesn’t mean they‘ll get it, I’ll wait until the Argentinian government officially announces they want it.

This is the official site of the Argentinian government, it confirms what I just said, their MoD made a press release regarding this to confirm it as well.

I guess you forget that we are not living in an ideal world.
Earlier UK had already torpedoed any possible deal between Argentina and South Korea for the T-50 and now do you expect Argentina to make song and dance about any deals....on the contrary just to keep any spoilers guessing, they have said that some half dozen options are on the table. ...so let's just leave it there.

I love the sound effects pajeets use in their news. Duzuuuuuu....dharra dharra dharra...............dazan dazan dazan!!!!
BC ye news hai ya star plus ka darama?

Just listen to Indian media applying ice to where sun don't shine by claiming that Pakistan is selling JF-17s to Argentina to lighten it's heavy debit load. I mean do other countries sell their military equipment to join a Casino or similarly to stable their economy and provide jobs to their citizens.

Don't worry Indians... Your Teja still has some future .. As the CPEC project moves ahead and Roads are almost completed, so we'll use them for transporting Chineses Goods across the world.

I seriously dont understand frustration of Indians on JF17 sale. It is not as if Argentina is the first customer as both Nigeria and Mayanmar had already evaluated and rejected tejas. If Indians had inducted Tejas in numbers then it was understandable but a jet your own airforce doesnt want you want others to buy. Lets not forget a single tejas MK 2 will cost India as much as their locally built/Assembled Sukhoi.

One of the problems with Tejas is the dependency of major UK components in the jet. Chinese have alternative options to UK component on JF-17. India does not offer this flexibility.
My friend, if you keep speaking the truth, soon you will be labelled as a false flagger by your country fellows.

Correct. Premature self-congratulations should not be allowed to hurt the thunder project. We congratulated each other over the finalization of the Malaysian deal too soon, and it is best to wait and watch before taking extreme positions that would hurt our credibility. While thunder does come as the frontrunner in Argentina’s case, we should still err on the side of caution.

Has the JF-17 been offered to Iran before?

It would be very useful in replacing the aging F-4's and 5's as the new workhorse of Iran.

Hello janab can you help translate this

It says they asked the government for money to buy jets. But they did not tell which country they going to buy the jets.
The Ministry of Defense informs that, by means of a Public Credit Operations Authorization note, it has requested the inclusion for the 2022 Budget of the credit management authorization for up to USD 664 million for the acquisition of multipurpose fighter aircraft, for the surveillance and control of the air space.
Likewise, this ministry clarifies that it has not been issued regarding the purchase of supersonic aircraft of any origin and is in the technical-economic and financial evaluation stage of five alternatives.

Iran would be better served by buying a derivative of the Su30SM from Russia and then working with Russia on Checkmate or China on the FC-35 project as a strategic programme - all with TOT & Co-development. Iran needs a platform with a very large payload and a long range.

Given Russian delays over delivering SAM systems, etc. China is the better bet.
