Replacing the F-16: Will Pakistan’s Top Fighter Squadron Transition to Chinese J-10Cs?

I just said East & West. No names.
Sir please give more clear hint of the jet from west. Eastern one is pretty much clear. And are you still standing by the claim of west. I mean is it still on the cards or not anymore.

Better to wait and see than to speculate 🧐 let’s see if it suprise some if not many

Eta weeks, months, years , guess till the news is in the Open

Now that Kabul has fallen to it’s rightful rulers Taliban will usa sell us any new weapons like f-16? Especially since they blame us for supporting Taliban and giving them safe heavens? Isn’t it more likely they sanction us?
No Sanctions InshaAllah. We still have a good working relationship.

AIM-120D can be used to engage airborne targets around 150 KM mark in BVR engagements - this is very close to maximum of PL-15. AIM-120D is also one of the most reliable A2A missiles ever built. How many PL-15 kills out there?
AIM120D : such a 150km range is (maybe) potent against non agile target, like tanker. To reach such range the missile is in a near ballistic trajectory and has nearly no energy at the end, so can only reach a straight forward target.
Reliable? Previous AMRAAM don't have a very high scoring ratio. And as far as I know, no kill has been made by a D variant.
PL15 : as all the chinese products, they are not war proven. So a potential very bad surprise or a very good one in case of a future real use...
BVR kills might not be easy to achieve in many situations depending upon what type of adversary you are up against.

Why we have never seen multiple bomb racks like one found on older Chinese j-8 on ceterline station on j-10?

  • First of all, J-10C if aquired will not replace F-16. It will be for stop gap purpose until J-35, AZM or other 5th gneration fighter option is available.
  • ...
What guarantee is there that J-35 or Azm will be acquired before India acquires a 5th Gen fighter?

Indians seem quite happy with their 4th Gen Sukhois and Rafales for at least the next 2-3 decades.

There is no guarantee. We are living in a dynamic world and things are constantly changing. I am sure Uncle Sam will be willing to sell F-35 to India with few conditions.
