Turkey summons Chinese ambassador over response to Uighur claims

Erdo didn't make inroads in big cities.

Big cities, Ankara + Istanbul included are republican strongholds.

2023 is coming for Erdo, thus the sudden nationalism flare up.

Just as I predicted, Erdo became a two leg lame duck with the constitutional referendum.

The can of worms now is:
  1. AKP winning without their man in presidency.
  2. Erdo winning presidency, but without majority in the parliament
  3. AKP spolier passing the 10%, and thus coalition talk becoming a worse deal than a clear defeat. Look at Israel elections. Likud had an insurmountable stranglehold on parliament 10 years, but as they let more people into their tent, those guy began to errode them big time for both members, and votes.

Aren't ughurs Muslims?

It's not just the CNN or BBC. My freinds and relatives who visited China eye witnessed this with their own two eyes.
What did he witness? Did witness Holocaust in Xinjian? When did he go and what part of Xingjian did he go? When you accused some one in such a serious charged make sure you have evident to back up but not just you heard from some one so called a friend.

The Ankara metropolitan president actually has MHP origin (For detailed readings, check out the MHP's dissociation process and the IYI party's establishment process.) but currently there behalf of the CHP. So the situation contradicts your assumptions, such as the nationalist flare-up.

The municipal councils are still in the hands of the AKP. In our municipal election system, we are using 2 votes. One for the city council and the other for the head of municipal. The municipal presidents of Istanbul, İzmir and Ankara are in the hands of the CHP. It is true that the AKP has weakened in some big cities, but the situation is not as dramatic as you might think, yet.

Turkish politics entered the general elections as two blocs. As the People's Alliance and the Nation's Alliance. People's Alliance, where Akp is located, has the majority in the parliament. However, it lacks the power to change the constitution. While 360 seats are required for the referendum and 400 seats for direct constitutional amendment powers, currently the People's Alliance has 337 deputies.

In short, most of what you are saying consists of false infos that is not based on facts. But above all, this type of discussion is completely irrelevant. It functions as spamming. I would like to answer your questions on this subject as much as I can, but we need to open a new thread for this.

no need to ... afrikaans dutch. that is our taal we speak here.

I think Turks should do what they want in their own country. But every country has problems with its minorities even turkey e.g. PKK. One should not throw rocks living in glass houses.
