Israeli FM expresses 'deep disappointment' with China's response to war​

The deputy director for Asia and the Pacific at the Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Rafi Harpaz, expressed Israel's "deep disappointment" with China's statements concerning Hamas's assault on southern Israel, in a recent discussion with the Chinese special envoy to the Middle East, Zhai Jun.

Harpaz stressed that the messages from China have "no clear and unambiguous condemnation of the terrible attack and heinous massacre committed by the terrorist organization Hamas against innocent civilians and the abduction of dozens of them to Gaza."

Israel just wants China to say something about Hamas attack.

But not to talk about the whole situation.

I feel like China is being trapped.


It's like A punched B, and then B punched A back.

But A doesn't want to talk about how A punched B, but instead ask you to condemn B attitude for punching A.

You should blame B and validate that B is wrong because being violent is wrong.

If you say nothing... then A is going to tell everybody that you are an evil person.


To be honest, this is like a stupid childish drama in school, that should never happen in international affairs.

If I accept this childish behavior, I feel like my maturity and intellectual had fallen.
