On the subject of wining and dining..
There's this place in dubai called Cindy's.. nice place to eat..
except for one day.. I saw these two arab men.. both would put our pehelvans to shame..
gorge down what I presumed was a large party platter of rice with prawns..in a matter of minutes..
then order a second!

I made a trip to dubai in the summers..and was shown this place somewhere near jebel ali..
at least a hundred or so beautiful..and I mean beautiful apartment and commercial complexes.. all lying empty...
These places were gorgeous.. pools, gyms what not..
all empty....no buyers.according to the businessman friend who showed us these places..all of them were built on loans from banks..and now..when the banks want their money back..
the shiekhs say "take the buildings"..
That is the sort of economy the UAE is running on..

As far as Iran confrontation is concerned..
Unlikely..the UAE considers Iran a major trade partner and vice versa..
a lot of Iranian goods are sold in the markets of Dubai and Abu Dhabi..
and many irani immigrants reside in the UAE..
The American's...can make their statements..to pacify thier hawks..and those in the arab world..
But that is all that they are..statements.

xD

Agree sir, my last visit to UAE was 2009 and one of our relatives told us back then that the Dubai "World" project had failed as no one was buying property there, in fact even the palm project has several phases with seaside villa's empty because no one was willing to buy them.

As it was already mentioned, Iran can level UAE with artilary, no need to call the airforce lol

btw, do you guys remember how Saddam used to say that his army will be in Tehran in two weeks?? The Americans kept telling Saddam that Iran's army is **** so that Saddam would go to war. He finally did and look how it turned out for him.

Same here. Iran's airforce does the job. We are not looking to attack other countries so what we have is way more than enough. And since when does better airforce=stronger military??

Saddam's army had 500+ jets by 87 while Iran had 60 something and we couldn't even get parts for those lol

American generals know these arabs like the back of their hands. Arabs think buying shiny toys=strong military!!! fools

which makes me wonder.. what do you suppose the prices are these days??
Although Dubai living is still fairly expensive..
And till that metro came online.. I used to long for the Traffic of Karachi..at least it moved..!!

And.. gentlemen..
please cool your heels..
Considering that the American already has you fighting like cats and dogs over a statement that hold little relevance in real world politika..military capabilities dont hold squat over this person's statement.

^^^ nobody is investing there anymore, so just imagine if Iran pulled a North Korea on them and started sending artillary and missiles to those empty buildings. Whatever moeny is there would be taken out within days.
Back to tent life for the arabs lol

my uncle lives there.
He used to keep calling my dad every month (before everything went to **** in Dubai) for money to invest in properties etc... Now he says that the properties have halved in price but now he keeps telling my dad not to even think about going there. He says Dubai is done and it seems like it tbh.

Dubai without Abu Dhabi wouldn't have survived this long. Abu Dhabi has bailed them out 3 times now. Anybody that says Dubai doesn't have oil is foregetting about Abu Dhabi.

Yup.. I know a lot of people..both indian and Pakistani who lost a lot of money in dubai...
There is this relative of ours who lived in Sharjah who recommended the same to an IA major..
the man bought it..and invested a lot of his saving in that scheme by the gold company(whats its name??)..
When that house of cards fell..he went into depression..and apparently even left the IA or something..our relative..his friend..was telling us all this story in a sad narrative..
The constraints of Tehzeeb in Lucknow families made me not pass the comment..
"You gave him the IDEA!!"

Maybe the Emirati airfoce is much beter than the Iranian airfoce, but if you look at the strenght of all Iranian forces they can take on all Arab countries together. During the Iraq-Iran war (1980-1988) they had to fight against Iraqi forces and other arab forces which were send by their regimes to support Iraqi forces and they had to fight a US embargo but still they beat the invading forces and counter-attacked. Just because some Arab countries have some BLING BLING weapons does not make them good fighters.

You Arabs can die under pressure of only one Iran's finger in Persian Gulf. If Iran has big mouth and is enough brave to speak up with that you arabs even do not have that and US talk on behalf of you. you arabs provided $100B to Saddam and all information and clear sky to US and Saddam for 8 years in imposed war against Iran for fall down Iran but you never succeed. i am sure you arabs even can not Imagine war with Iran. this is your historical wish but will go to grave with you

Thank you for this speech, which proves my point . . Persians do not like Arabs every one know that . . Because the Arabs destroyed the Pagan Persian Empire . . Persians are allys of Israel and America against Arabs and Muslims . . Tell me why Persians stands with Christian Armenia against Muslim Azerbaijan . . Tell me who support the independence of Bosnia and Kosovo . . . Persians or Arabs ? . . .Tell me how the Persians support the Kashmir issue . . Show me one single Islamic issue that the Persians support ? ? ?

With regard to the Iran-Iraq war:
- Iran had started the war on Iraq
- Khomeini, who said that Iran will export the Revolution
- Khomeini, who said that the western borders of Iranis Euphrates River
-The international embargo was note on Iran alone, but on the two countries . . see the UN resolutions
-The war ended in victory for Iraq against Iran . . and Khomeini forced the nose to accept the cease-fire:lol:

The truth about Israel, Iran and 1980s U.S. arms deals

Recently declassified Pentagon documents reveal a strange, not to say illicit, 1980s operation called 'Tipped Kettle,' in which weapons stolen by Israel from the PLO in Lebanon were transferred to the Contras and to anti-American elements in Iran.

Imagine, my brother . . if the Persian invasion of Iraq has succeeded :chilli:

may allah bless the souls of all Iraqi brave martyrs

Brother the problem is that our leaders are idiots. They are Sacrifising our blood for the wrong causes.

Instead of fighting to create a strong Ummah with one government which speaks with one voice they our Sacrifising our blood for more power or money. Furthermore in stead of spending our hard earned money in building schools to train our people or building factories to manufature state of the art military equipment our leaders are spending it on out-dated military equipment. Countries are replacing their out-dated planes with F35, F22, Rafales, Gripens, Typhoons, etc and we are buying their junk for a lot of money. Over 5-10 years our procurements will be totally out-dated.

I would believe that.Even if the Emireati airforce is way superior than Iranian one.UAE still can't stand fighting with Iran.
