Turkey warns Israel against attacks

So if someone questions a Turk and doesn't talk highly of them, he is not a Pakistani. When will you guys learn freedom of speech? Come on...not for nothing but I don;t think the Turkish Army is very capable. I mean they can't take out the Kurds? The Sri Lankans defeated the LTTE who are much more potent force. Granted it took 3 decades but is as long as this Kurdish conflict.

If u want to gain popularity among the Arabs u should curse USA and Israel. Thats what Ahmadinejad is doing. Erdogan did not grow balls for USA yet, so he curses only Israel.

I think he is just smart enough to take things slowly.
Eliminate any Generals that could do some thing radical like support a secular Turkey.
Eliminate any opposition amongst the judiciary.

Make the standard anti US anti Isreal speaches.

Introduce legislation that any laws must be approved by a council of schollars to assure their compatibility with Islam.

Abolish parliment seeing the mullahs are the ones making all the descisions.

Declare Turkey a Caliphate and humbly accept the role of Amir.

Shoot any one that objects.

Why is Mr Erdogan so eager to defend these Arabs who give two hoots about Turkey? Has he forgotten that the Arabs betrayed the Turks in the past? He'll end up making more enemies for his nation rather than friends.:frown:

agreed
I really don't understand Turkey's new policies to be honest.
What can Turkey gain by getting closer to the arabs? They are useless in every way.

Popularity and Warm policies/expressions adressing the benefits of Arabs creates influences in regions. Influences bring more money with trades and strategic agreements. More money means more R&D, wealth and respectability in G-20. More R&D mean strong defence/civilian industry that will make you to control/arm the foreign countries being under your influence. Those are like a chain reaction...

if Turkey wants influence then Central Asia is a good place to start from. Erdogan is making israel its adversary for the sake of Arab support, its not worth it. In time of war these same Arabs won't fire even a single bullet on behalf of Turkey. However they will try to spread extremist ideology into Turkey and thats all they can offer.

We are taking about more than 300 million Arab population. Think most of those population making trade and ordering defence systems from Turkey. I think It makes some sense for us.

If You follow the Turkish agenda, You would see that Some influences supported by defence trades have been gained in Central Asian Turkic republics as well. Those regions are mostly in Russian infuence but Turkish defence institutes signed lots of defence agreement with Khazakistan, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan worth hundreds of million $ in recent months. Those countries could easily purchase similar systems from Russia but They changed their courses towards Turkey...

Besides, Who said that Turkey will go to a war cause of protecting Arab benefits ? :) It is impossible. The Expressions Turkish PM composed are serving for some clever purposes.

I wonder how direct the connection, could not those prurchases be because Turkey has a fine defence industry producing excellent equipment at a resonable cost with a reputation for reliability?

After all arab countries buy large amounts of hardware from the US without any statments against Israel.

Yes, Turkey has a fine defence industry producing cost/effective NATO standart products. It would be more clear in 2015. Most of our programs are on development phases now a days.

Yes but It is not an obstacle for us to make great trades with them. In recent months, One of Turkish institute, FNSS signed a deal with Saudi Arabia worth 500 million $+ to modernizate old armoured vehicles. Same for UAE that ordered thousands of artillery rockets from Roketsan. I gave UAE and Saudi examples because Those two are the well-known USA costumers.

He has freedom of speech. I have also. I am just expressing my opinion like him. His post does not looks like written by Pakistani. Maybe you should check your understanding of freedom of speech.

It is because Current Turkish foreign policies speak same language with Arab nations against Israel. It is the reason of symphaty Tayyip Erdogan gained from Arabs in those years. He tries to create an image on minds that You are not alone against Israel/USA in subconscious. You can find lots of Turkish flag in Arab streets now a days. It means that plan is proceeding well.

Besides, I think Arab leaders do not like/support What Turkey is doing in ME because This policy is also threatening their comfortable places in their countries.

They do make statements against Israel, although they are not making through the headlines as these statements coming from them, are expected. When un-expected country, especially Turkey, makes this kind of criticism, it just pops out among others. Castro made some positive remarks about Israel just last week, and got a thank you letter from Perez and it made a lot of fuzz in media.

Very well put. Turkey is not just gaining influence over Arab countries, it also exports its governmental system. I believe Saudia Arabia is the most nervous among other Arab states for Turkey's new rising power in the region. After all, they have a monarchy to protect..
