'Dubai-like' city to be developed near Lahore

Orange train has come to is stand still! Even paying millions$ in no operational charges!

Please share... my guess we are getting a new mandir as well?
No, nothing like that
This project is destined to be complete, it will have its own water supply, various lakes and forests, this is a long term project, meaning 15 years or more
The tram on canal road is not getting any investors for now but will surely be completed along with blue line, purple line etc.

Magenta Lines and the Rainbow LINK too.

I am fully braced for all the handsome 3rd world propaganda there can exist
They will certainly be completed but not for now, the main focus for now is the ravi development

Pakistan should have a new city without vehicles. I'm tired of fixing my car due to imbecilic behavior of various types of transport on the road.

Remember about that 'Disney themepark' about to be made in Lahore 5 years ago?

Yep, thats still on the cards so is the johhar town entertainment park, the walk and shop arena etc

It is still planned to be constructed

We need a well planned City away from our major cities (Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta) so in time it can expend and become a major metropolitan hub. We need a major well planned city in South Punjab, South Sindh or Coastal area 50 to 100km away from Karachi.

just look at new noida and new planned cities in India. Why everything is f*up in Pakistan?

LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government has decided to develop a “modern city like Dubai” city near Lahore over an area of more than one 100,000 acres.

According to a statement, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has given the green signal to establish “River Ravi Front Authority” for developing a “most modern city” in the north of Lahore.

The provincial government will promulgate an ordinance for the establishment of this authority with the chief minister as its chairman, read the statement.

The authority would work to develop the new city over an area of more than one 100,000 acres. It is expected that Rs5 trillion would be invested by the private sector to develop the city.

The new city will help to overcome the problems of congested traffic, water and environment in Lahore city.

A large lake and free barrages will also be built in the new city.

This city should ideally be built in South punjab like multan, bawalapur etc if not then more cities on the balochistan and sindh coast. Otherwise lahore will turn into another Karachi in the mean time the government needs to make family planning a serious priority. Pakistan has a serious over population problem that if it is not resolved in a timely manner will lead to chaos due to limited resources in the future.
