Of the $44 billion overall budget they brought to table? Even that is highly unlikely given they haven't introduced any new measures to increase revenue from previous year and their economy is in contraction. Their previous year revenue collection was woefully short of target by about 1.2 trillion rupees. And Hafeez, their economic advisor is asking their provinces not to make budgets based on the revenue estimation in budget because he doesn't have confidence in such revenue collection. They are proposing such huge budget only for IMF favor. In reality budget will be about $10 billion short.

But alas, Military will again get more than it is allocated (it did so last year by 6.6%) irrespective of revenue collection. Ponder this, of the total revenue federal government collected 3.9 trillion rupees last year, 1.657 trillion (1.29 trillion + 367 billion) was spent on defence alone. That is close to 40% of the revenue. It is just mind boggling, how anyone could justify this. For comparison, India spends 4.5 trillion INR on defence on revenues of over 25 trillion rupees. That is just about 16% of its revenues.

They are calling @Khan_21 a traitor, for even questioning this. That's just sad.

LOL says the beggar from India whose military budget goes to appeasing higher caste Indians. Any person with a pair of eyes already knows that Hindustan is spending a huge amount of money on its military expenditures. Our budget is peanuts in comparison.

Don't even dare telling us about mistakes Hindu fanatic. Have a good look at your own budget before pointing fingers at others. By your own logic, you are not only making a mistake, but committing suicide.

1) Our goal should be to increase Pakistan's defence budget not decrease it
2) Even though we took some steps to give ammunition to Pakistan Military to increase the budget, I frankly think we have not done enough. We need to give more statements on imminent war, Move troops towards IB, Do some military drills close to IB and Navy doing drills in Arabian sea.
3) We should quietly lobby in IMF, WB, ADB and other forum to have more loans available for Pakistan

consider yourself lucky, he let you off the hook with Soft warning i.e no infraction, if it was me, 2 infraction would be given. Keep it in mind you already have 1 active infraction frm few days back given by me....that came after you were given two soft warnings.....then you people complaining that mods are rutheless and biased against Indians.

That's beside the point. Pakistanis are entitled to their own evaluation of security.

That said, it does not affect us much either way. Pakistan has been steadily reducing as a credible military threat to India for two decades and is no longer a real rival now.
