What's new

Lal Masjid standoff begins

According to Musharraf, when this started happening during his tenure, these terrorists were putting fire to Government buildings nearby.

Musharraf said that even when Pakistan's flag was burning up there on the building, even then the hooligans did not allow the fire brigade to get into the premises.

An operation needs to be done, and the mosque needs to be simply razed, and all other major mosques in the capital should have Pakistan's flag inside them on the walls hanging.

My opinion.

About Socialists being Elites, removed from people's sufferings, is incorrect.

I didn't say that those people, like Faiz, Major Ishaq, etc. were not concerned about the sufferings of common people. Of course, they were. What I meant by elite was that most of them belonged to well-to-do families and backgrounds.

About bloodshed, it could have, could have, turned out to be a bloodless coup, like Gaddafi's coup in Libya. I believe so because some of the plotters were senior, if I am not wrong, and could have commanded the respect of the junior staff as to not present resistance.

No. I am sure that it would not have been, as it happened in Libya. There would have been quite a lot of bloodshed, not only in the armed forces of Pakistan; but also at the street level, as well. But, as I mentioned, the chances of their success, in the well knit organization, like Pakistan Army, were extremely meager, to say the least. That is why, they were caught, even before entering into a proper planning phase. Even after that, two such major anticipated coup, within the Army, have been apprehended, at the pre-planning stage.

About Pakistan not ready for Socialist revolution... well, any Socialist revolution and governance is an experiment, its results not known until that experiment is carried out.

In Pakistan, proper socialists have never been able to mobilize, even a small part of the common populace. That is the history of socialism in Pakistan. I have personally met some of the known socialists of Pakistan, in my life. Most of them were fundamentally armchair revolutionaries. Some of my very close relations were also socialists, in those times. I am talking about 1970s.

Communists are an extinct breed in Pakistan.
Their last stronghold was probably hastnagar.

If you are really in a mode to take action against the people who challenged state, then do it against Tareen, against Zerdari and such people. A guy came out with some girls are, tbh, harmless.

Bhiraoo p.m di kursi ty bahna ty door halay tikar ditthi v nao'n :( sorry can't take no action

Unfortunate.

Otherwise Pakistan could have become the first Socialist state in South Asia... the later two being Afghanistan and Nepal.

Sorry, I didn't understand. :)

Throne for them if they would have succeeded but dammed they coz they got arrested. The rule is complex but the crux is to protect societal peace and order

I am soft against even those who fought with Iran within Pakistan. I am soft even for them who murdered many ulama on the be behalf of Iran.
I was never, and will never ever encourage a military action against any Pakistani who doesn't have gun in his/her hands, whatsoever.

You mean you're soft
Are they pretty?

I assure you they're

Hashtnagar, as per the internet, is an area in KPK. What makes it the last stronghold of Leftist activism ??

And what about the recent becoming famous of that "Leather jacket girl", Arooj Aurangzaib ??

@SIPRA

Are they pretty?
I assure you they're

Maybe they need some Love Jihad to happen with them. :D
