JF-17 Thunder Multirole Fighter [Thread 7]

Idiots who can't do any good for Pakistan are ruling Pakistan, and alike polluting digital space.

16:08 no one is holding the assembly. Second guy is holding vacuum cleaner to catch the chips. Neither are they drilling precision holes, they are enlarging already drilled holes, not with drill but with a hole cutter.

Drilling is happening at 14:30 to 15:50 and listen to the remarks at 14:44 and 15:00 which confirms, what i stated.

It's standardization, work practices and safety.

Hi,

Enlarging drilled holes---hehehe---that is how you start---that is a starter hole---this creates the center---then you can use a hole cutter---.

You boyz are funny---for the required size---.

Jf-17 cannon gsh-23L is 23 mm cannon weighing about 50kg plus rounds weight with 180 rounds available

Why was this cannon selected ? Perhaps Due to weight plus availability in China ?

K-8 uses Aden 30x113 30mm gun pod which is British origin and a version DEFE is used in mirages with 125-135 rounds

Aden usually weights twice of gsh

A comparison of aircraft cannon shows lethality of gsh low compared to Aden, DEFA and Mauser 27mm cannons and US gatlining being most lethal

Eventually paf will be using 23 and 20 mm only

btw 19-602 just had refuelling probe fitted in Sep/Oct 2019 is at PAC not CAC
Ok thanks Aziqbal!

I have not seen any photographs of 2P-65B and 2P-66B yet? Any recent images of those?
So far, I have assumed them to be 19-603/604 :-)

With regard to 19-602 at PAC, that is aircraft #3 in the over-all count, while CAC "02" is aircraft #2 and still in China ;-)

Parked in the hangar is the first prototype that graced the skies in Pakistan. This bird was put through multiple extreme flight tests & given countless mission environment checks. This is Number 4 of the prototypes and the 1st in Pakistan. It’s an important piece of history.

She should be now in PAF Museum..Pure Gold! although engine less.
Yes eventually should be destined for a Museum but for now it can still serve as a static training model for JF-17 engineers and maintenance crews.

she has her airframe hours up...This aircraft should go directly to PAF Museum. i dont think she flies...she doesnt even have the engine.

Chinese use this prototye for many system checks

Hi,

Well it runs on Kerosene---.

I think Paf is using cheaper grade of refined kerosene for normal flights to save money---what do you say---?

The RD93/33 is a notoriously smoky engine. It has nothing to do with the fuel the PAF uses. That is just how the engine is. Its pretty bad, i think the Russians had made a modified version that does not smoke as much.

Smoke issue has been rectified long ago.
