MS Dhoni has found a supporter in Pakistan born political activist Tarek Fatah who lives in Canada now. MS Dhoni was surrounded by controversy after he sported Indian Para forces insignia on his gloves during India’s first match against South Africa.

Tarek Fatah, who is a hardcore critic of Pakistan has some controversial remark to make on Dhoni’s glove issue. After ICC requested BCCI to remove the symbol from Dhoni’s gloves, Fatah took to his official Twitter handle and wrote, “The @ICC has no problem with the entire Pakistan cricket team marking territory by praying on the cricket field, denigrating Christians and Jews (part of Muslim ritual prayer) but find insignia on @Msdhoni's gloves inappropriate.”

WTF! International Cricket Council @ICC orders Indian wicketkeeper Lt. Col. @MSDhoni to remove his Army insignia on his gloves. #DhoniKeepTheGlove & @BCCI shd back him to the hilt. In a World Cup where Islamist moustacheless beards r tolerated, Dhoni's gloves r harmless. #CWC19

The International Cricket Council (ICC) cited clothing rules and regulations states that it does not permit the display of messages that relate to political, religious or racial activities or causes during an international match.

The ICC has issued a statement today where they said, “The regulations for ICC events do not permit any individual message or logo to be displayed on any items of clothing or equipment. In addition to this, the logo also breaches the regulations in relation to what is permitted on wicketkeeper gloves.”

It will be interesting to see if MS Dhoni comes out with the same gloves or not when India will play against Australia on June 9 before meeting New Zealand on June 13. India will play their arch-rival Pakistan on June 16 at Old Trafford, Manchester.

Did not know certain Indians equate religion with military symbolism.. but then they are an intolerant bigoted bunch.. and ready to jump behind humanoid looking dung beetles like Fatah.

Deranged Fatah needs his meds. He is a laughing stock - one day attacking Pak but next day attacking Saudi then for some reason Canada is always angering him. Yet he never speaks against the cow lynchings - is he really from Pakistan?

Does this idiot deshdrohi Tarek Fateh understand the difference between Apple and Orange?

ICC have a 100% logical stand in this matter, politics should be kept apart from games.

Did not know certain Indians equate religion with military symbolism.. but then they are an intolerant bigoted bunch.. and ready to jump behind humanoid looking dung beetles like Fatah.
Absolutely.

Well no one is stopping any Indians from praying but making political statements
Should Pakistan make statements like jf17 killing migs and su30

The guy is just a rabble rouser seeking attention. He reminds me of a Pak version of Arundhati Roy.

From a legal perspective - all religious and political displays are not allowed. That includes Sikh turbans and kadas, Hindu religious threads and Muslim beards and any other displays of religion, Christians wearing crosses etc.

ICC in its infinite stupidity has opened a Pandora's box and now will have to implement the letter of the law, else will be accused of selective implementation.
