I wonder why Pakistanis give our Muslims such a hard time ...

Sometimes I think its the bitter cross-generational aftertaste of what they saw as betrayal.

Often else (mainly here) there are classist-racist undertones to it.

They would throw a hissy fit about our Muslims saying India first. Yet its apparently ok for them to say Pakistan first?

I don't get it. Do you @rott ? Why are our Muslims treated as children of a lesser God by our cuzins next door?

@jamahir your egalitarian two paise?

Cheers, Doc

I too find the two-sided arguments not to my taste. Many Pakistani members on this forum, though politically centrist, also have a left-over of tribalist and casteist mindset.

For me, if I have to choose between countries, I would choose India and work to bring progressive ideas, even from outside, to India.

If that's so there should be no wars and conflicts between Muslim countries and oil rich Muslim countries should share their wealth with poor Muslim countries.

The war between Iran and Iraq in the past is due to nationalist who control power in Iraq (Saddam Hussein) and he is a dictator. War in Syria happens since Bashar is a non religious leader and a nationalist, and he is also a dictator. If Bashar is religious, he will let his country to adopt democracy and avoid civil war. Talking about sharing wealth, Saudi Arabia has already shared their own wealth to many poor Muslim majority nations.

Look, many prominent Muslim majority country like Indonesia, Turkey, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Tunisia, Iran have already used democracy as their political system. I hope Egypt and Syria someday embrace democracy as well. Democracy and political Islam (Islamist) are a perfect combination in any Muslim majority country. It is so because Muslim all over the world are becoming more conservative each day, with ballot box and demonstration become the tool to express their opinion and resolve dispute instead of going to war. The chance to win in political arena is also bigger in a democracy system for Islamist in any Muslim majority nation. Thats why in the future I predict more Islamist power are in ruling position in many prominent Muslim majority nation. With Islamist in power, it means it is one step closer to create unity among Muslim nations.

In term of GDP, Muslim countries in total are on par with China. What we are still lacking is unity among ourselves. But the future is bright to us (Islamist) inshaALLAH as many Muslim nations adopt democracy and our society becomes more conservative each day. 10 years from now I predict more unity among Muslim and we can create an effective Islamic NATO. By having Islamic NATO it means conflict among Muslim nations will be solved in the hands of Muslims. If we have Islamic NATO now, Syrian and Libya problem will have already been solved.

Pakistan was founded on the basis of Islam. Pakistan and Islam are mutual to most of us. We are not dogs of the west like some other Muslim countries or secularist countries with majority Muslim population. We take pride in our religion and our country. That is our identity.

there is no reason that Muslim countries become enemy of eaach other.Islam comes first and it is the main reason for Pakistan existence although both Islam and Pakistan cannot be separated if we want bright future

so do you believe hindu nationalism isnt Indian nationalism? Please do tell me why all hardcore hindus are patriot and liberal seculars are traitors?
Those people who support Pakistanis, Kashmiri separatists and Maoists are traitors. Not the others.

A Muslim can be a Nationalist and Patriot. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, A R Rehman are examples of Nationalist and Patriots.

Similarly, a Hindu can also anti-national and traitor

so you are implying hate for Pakistan is the barometer for measuring Indian patriotism

Hate for enemies of India. I have included Separatists and Maoists also.

If Pakistan had friendly relation with India I would not have included it just like I did not include any of the 200 other countries including China.

We are not allies but we are not sworn enemies either. We do have some differences but nothing which will permanently strain the relations

You are a traitor if you support the enemies of India. Conversely, if you oppose the enemies of India you are a Nationalist. Nothing more Nothing Less.
